I pre booked a couples massage on our valentines cruise and was also charged for it again. Went to guest services and was told that it would be removed in about 2 days from the s&s card they said that was just the way the spa does it. 2 days later it was still there. Went back to guest services with all my papers in hand. Showed them my receipt for the prepay and the receipt from the spa. The girl at the front desk made copies and gave me a credit on my account. I'm so glad I had all my paperwork and was able to resolve it before we got off.

My husband were going to do a discover scuba in Grand Cayman this past February but it was raining and they called the excursion off😥. We are going on another cruise in November/ December and I have booked the excursion again. It's a bucket list thing so loving hearing your experience.

Very good review Shaun. I also enjoyed way too many mango margaritas at Mr. Sanchos. According to my daughter I was floundering in 3 feet of water and she had to tell me to stand up. She also claimed I was walking to the left and they had to gently correct me back to the right. All I know is I had a headache by 9 that night. Can't wait to do it again in November.

Following along. Just got back Sunday on The Vista same itinerary.

My daughter lost her ID on the last cruise. She went to guest services and they had her wait got security to escort her to customs. Can't remember what she had to do then but she said it was the fastest she ever got thru customs

But I wondered, I so often hear about people turning down offers to upsell because they have several cabins booked and the upsell is only on one. Do they ever offer to upsell both?

My first cruise I was offered to upgrade from a regular balcony to a suite but my daughter and I had cabins side by side. I told them that I would but I was in a cabin beside my daughter they gave her the same offer. They gave us side by side suites.

Booked a cruise on the Horizon for May 2020 in the Same Cabin. 7459, 8 Day Southern.

 

Doing the Magic 2019 for our Daughters 21st BDay and we picked the Aft Wrap for that as well.

Our daughter picked that Itinerary & ship or I would have done the Havana on The Vista or Horizon in 7459.

 

In the future it is nothing but Cabin 7459 in the Havana area for my wife & I on an 8 day and if it goes to the Southern Carib better yet.

Staying in that exact same cabin leaving Feb 10 so glad to hear I picked a good one. Makes me more excited. 

She got the temporary drivers license the paper one then a local bar called her to say they found her license. Problem solved.

Thank you Bill that's what I wanted to hear. Would have hated leaving her standing on the dock. With her very angry mom beside her.

The reason I asked here is I had figured this could not be the first time this has happened and had hoped someone could, from experience, answer this question. I have since called the DMV in Topeka (state capital) to see if we drove there if they could issue the regular dl. Found out they can't do it either, would also issue the paper temporary, that the hardcopy is made in Georgia and mailed to home in 2 to 4 weeks. Called Carnival to see if I got the same answer, that the temporary one would work, but I didn't. So decided to call Homeland Security since they make the rules, they were closed. Also the DMV in Kansas is closed on Monday, What!:mad:

As for the passport the 17 year old did at trip to Europe a couple years ago a couple weeks before she was to leave passport had not shown up. Daughter decided to contact them and have it expedited it came 2 days late. It was a trip with her girl scout troop. Daughter had to pay extra so 17 year old could catch a different flight to catch up with her girl scout troop. Am going to call Homeland when I get off work they should have the real answer. Since the 17 year old was sharing a cabin with the 21 few doors down from us we are now also concerned that will they still let her stay alone. Daughter was going to see if she could move to a cabin for 4 but I think its to late for that.

So going on a cruise with family members. It will be my 21 year old granddaughter's first cruise in 2 weeks. Last night she lost her drivers license claims she thought some one took it. The state of Kansas will issue her a temporary one on paper and mail her new one in 3 to 4 weeks. Called Carnival for my daughter who is so worried about the granddaughter (her daughter) not being allowed to board. The Carnival rep said she could board with the paper one provided it has her picture on it, which Kansas temporary does. Has anyone had to deal with this and did you find that to be the case? Just don't want to drive all the way and find they won't let her on.

Working he allows me one a year then we do one land based vaca. 5 more years to retirement and am hoping he allows me at least 2 a year but that will depend on how our pension, 401k and ss pays out any more the pension plan always seems to be in trouble so not sure how that will play out.

We got it on our last two cruises because we liked knowing we wouldn't have a big bill at the end of our trip

That's why I get it. The peace of mind knowing I won't have a drink bill when we get off at the end of our cruise. I enjoy drinking Rockstar energy drink. Have about 2 16oz cans most days. On our last cruise it was $18 for 4 8oz cans. Plus an occasional mixed drink. I'm truly not afraid of not breaking even and not worrying about how much I'll owe at the end allows me to enjoy my time on the cruise better.
