Thanks everyone, I'm leaning towards the Magic!

I am looking to book a cruise for summer of 2020. I've narrowed it down to either Magic or Horizon. Both are 8 day southern Caribbean. the ports are Aruba, curacao, la Romana and Amber Cove. The Horizon is $44 more. I've only been on carnival glory and carnival liberty. I can't decide which to choose.

I have been searching for a reasonable cruise for months. Initially I was only looking for cruises for the summer time because I four small kids (my mom watches them and will be working during the school year). So now I am looking for April 2018. I have found two cruises and now I am having a hard time picking between the two.

1.carnival vista: 8D Eastern Apr 21-29 $1753.54 inside

goes to St Martin, St Kitts, Grand Turk, and San Juan

2.Oasis of the seas: 7D Eastern Apr 22-29 $1907 inside

goes to St martin, San Juan, and Haiti.

I have never cruised on either, and have never been to any of the ports. What do you all think?

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I have to go during the summer because I have four young children. My mother works for the school systems and will watch them for me during her summer break. Is it possible that I could get a cheaper rate if I wait for Summer 2018 cruises to come out and book early, that I will get a better rate?

I am interested in booking a cruise on the carnival magic. I found a cruise for August 13 2017. It's a 6 day Eastern, visiting Nassau, Amber cove and grand Turk. I did a mock booking for the lowest inside category with the past guest rate and it totaled $1529.18 without grats. My cousin who will be cruising me is saying that is to expensive. Is this a common price for this time of year and type of cruise?

When will the cruise schedule for summer 2018 come out.

I am looking to book a trip on the carnival vista on either deck 2 or deck 6. I have gone on 2 cruise before and the second one I experienced some motion sickness. My question is, would there be less motion aft or midship?
