Thanks! We did the UST on the Island when we were going through the Panama Canal and loved it. Was hoping to see the new ship!
-
We will be on Sky Princess in February. Does anyone know if they are doing UST signup on embarkation day?
-
who is the cruise director on the Regal right now?
The CD was Billy Hygate

Thanks! I saw a video of another ship and it was simply fake grass with holes, but no starter points or obstacles or anything. More like a putting green.
Thanks again!
No Problem, It did have marked holes and went in kinda a U shape. We played on a couple rounds with my son.

When I was on Island in April 2016 there was mini golf where it says Lawn Court.

Try clearing the temporary internet files. I have had issues like that before.

We did a full crossing from LA to FLL in April 16 on Island. I found good views on Baja and Caribe all the way to the forward. I got outside at about 5 AM with a arrival time of 6:15AM at the canal. Also Coral has a couple aft decks that are neat to see the locks close.
Normally both of those get busy.

In my experience with my DW she was able to use all of the benefits of platinum except she did not get her own allotment of internet minutes.

I was on Island in April for 15 days and agree that it made the ship awkward but not horrible. I would probably not specifically book on Island if there were other ships doing similar itineraries.

Yes ice cream bar is by the Lotus Pool.
Breakfast- Horizon Court, MDR, limited room service selection

I checked on a price difference on Regal - I am booked on a MB on Riviera Deck in Feb 2017. The price difference from what i booked last month to the new "Club" Mini is only $50.00. I am probably going to try it out....

We are on the reverse itinerary in January 2017. Thank you for the info! Did you do any of the Princess sponsored tours?
Yep we did Princess Sponsored Tours at all the ports. We did take our 5 year old son with us on all of them so that help drive some of the selections.
Cabo San Lucas- Swim with Dolphins - This was a really nice setup with Cabo Dolphins that you walk to the center from the ship and spend some time with the dolphins for 45 min or so. We got luck i guess as our dolphin was not being a good "listener" so they moved our group back to a smaller tank and we got to swim with a mom and younger dolphin in training. I heard a couple people say this was better than other places that they had swam with dolphins.
San Juan Del Sur - Granada, Parque Central & Shopping - The first thing that comes to mind is a LONG bus ride. It stopped at a beach that you could see the two volcanoes and then went to Granada. You have a quick tour of a museum and watched a local dance show. They then let you roam around for 30 to 40 min and then a bus ride back. Lots of beggers looking for money or push items to sell.
Puntarenas - Scarlet Macaw Sanctuary & Boat Ride - This was nice tour that did a boat ride in a river / canals that you could watch for wildlife. Then you went to the Sanctuary and take a tour. They have alot of different types of bird that they are rehabbing to go back into the wild. The only ones that are free flying are the more mature Scarlet Macaw's. They also have monkeys and cougars that are rescues.
Cartagena - Spanish Galleon Harbor Cruise - I was not impressed with this one and probably would not recommend. The boat pulls up to the pier and they take you around and talk and have some dancers. You do not get close enough to see a whole lot.
Aruba - De Palm Island Beach and Water Park - This was my sons favorite place due to the water park. It includes food and drinks in the price but we did not get into port until 1 PM. So by the time we got to the island they said you had 15 min or so to go get to the buffet (not that we needed more food). The Adult drinks were alittle weak but overall it was a nice place.
Hope that helps some :)

This was from the April 8 sailing. They did re-work the On The Bayou to be done in the Princess Theater. I thought it was good show but dont know what it looked like in the Universal Lounge.
-
On our cruise from LA to FLL it was the following
1st Full Day
5th Full Day
13th Full Day
I have included an attachment from the Patter to give a better visual.
-
They did this also on the Island Princess. I had to have the band replaced 3 days in due to the writing wearing off.

Coreace---thanks for your reply! By pull down do you mean from the ceiling or is it from the wall that pulls out? In other words is it recessed in the ceiling?
It was recessed into the ceiling. It just looks like a piece of white sheet metal with a key hole if they need to pull it down.

On the Island Princess our Mini (B229) had a pull out couch and a pull down upper. I did not notice that the pull down was there until about day 5 of our cruise. I would assume it is similar on Coral.

Does anyone know if they have BOGO (happy hour) in the Explorers Lounge on the Island.
I'm not sure if all Princess ships have this.
Thanks
They had BOGO for a $1 multiple times a day. Some of the days they had limitations on certain ones like it had to be margaritas or just beer.
-
It is in the Explorer's lounge. I did not like the location as it feels like it is shoved back in the corner. Also on several occasions other activities were running over in Explorer's so seating was more limited.

Just off the Island Princess after doing a 15 day Panama cruise. Alfredo's was open almost everyday I can only think of once when it was closed. Normally it was open from 11:30 to 2.
