My wife has travelled with me before a on a Celebrity cruise and we are booked on a Celebrity cruise in Feb. 2016. We have not made final payment yet. On the prior cruise her passport was in here maiden name. She renewed her USA passport recently in her married last name.

Are we likely to encounter problems with Celebrity in getting the Feb 2016 booking switched from her maiden to married last name?

I'm traveling with a group of 7 friends, on the Equinox, that would like to play some card games from time to time during our cruise. Are there any public spaces where we might find a table for eight where we could play cards privately?

On our Summit Bermuda cruise we made arrangements to dine the first night with someone from the roll call. They thought they had Select. When we got to the dining room they were denied seating because they had a reservation for early seating.

 

Bermuda is different since the ship is docked for 3 days. Our second night in Bermuda, one of our tablemates did say that they had late seating but asked if they could do Select that one evening. Many people were still off ship so the dining rooms were not as full as they are when the ship is at sea. That is why they were allowed to switch for that evening.

Why not just see if you can all swap to select dining? You could try and do this pre cruise or if not talk to the MD as you board.

The question I posted had to do with just my wife and I. Part of our group is already assigned to Select and the other part is assigned to Traditional, I should have made that more clear.

We have no intention of trying to bend or break any rules, that is not our nature.

My question was an honest one, with no intent implied, we are clear on the answer now.

We have 8:30 MDR seating on an upcoming cruise and may like to dine earlier than 8:30 on some evenings. Is it possible to go to Select on some evenings and be seated without issues? On those evenings when we might go to Select we might be joining other passengers who are in our group, the others in our group are in the MDR with us.

We are aware of the buffet, room service and specialty restaurant options and possible issues with wait staff gratuities but still wonder if Select somehow might also be an option?

We would like to go to the Accra beach area and if possible get a hotel day pass at a nice hotel, with a swim up bar would be fantastic. Is this possible?

If not can anyone recommend a nice beach area no more than 30 minutes from the cruise terminal where a day pass at a nice hotel might be available?

Our group is on the Equinox for a 10 day cruise. Will we have any potential problems with a party of ten showing up at random times for Select Dining? Should we consider other options? Is a party of 10 likely to be seated together in SD?

I have tried using Celebrity's booking site to check certain cabin numbers availability within certain categories for a February 2016 cruise. Every single cabin number of the many many that I check come back as "Unavailable" but the booking engine shows a five cabin set of cabin numbers that are available. I'm finding it hard to believe that every single number I check is unavailable.

Is the a way around this problem?

Your options:

1. Book Luggage Valet $20 per person up to 2 bags each, if offered
   
2. Book a Celebrity or better suite, and have the Suite Concierge in Michael's Club do it for you.
   
3. Use your cell phone or other device and do OLCI with your Airline's SmartPhone app, or mobile enabled website, just no way to print boarding passes, you just get them electronically.
   

To my knowledge, no other way to print boarding passes, without paying for internet time. They don't just "open a workstation" for airline boarding passes to be printed.

We were going to try to do the Luggage Valet anyway, did it on our last Princess cruise and thought it was well worth it, don't recall how we got our boarding passes though. When we pick up our Luggage Valet tickets do they hand us boarding passes then, seems logical?

The two of us can't snorkel but think it still may be fun to go to shark alley to view the sharks from a boat. Is this a bad idea? How long of a boat ride is it to get to shark alley?

We would really like find a day cruise on a large catamaran that starts on SMB and returns there, We like big cat cruises. Any chance that we could go to SMB and find a nice cat ride there?

There will be 6 cruise ships with 13,800 people In port on our day visiting Grand Cayman. With this number of tourists there is 7 Mile Beach likely to be packed?

When I book online via Celebrity website, input my CC#, any discount will be deducted from final costing. The last 4 cruises I have looked at all had a CC discount of $750-, even the 7 day ones. Of course this is not combinable with other offers ie. 123go so you have to decide which you want (123go or CC discount). When booking via a TA this discount seems to get overlooked unless you ask for it. I demonstrated this when I got quote from a TA and then went back and asked about a CC discount, sure enough the quote came back $750- less than originally quoted.

Does anyone know if you can get the CC discount after final payment is made?
