  1. So we got the email for an upgrade offer to bid on and we are thinking of going for the Haven upgrade. We have already upgraded our free at sea to the free at sea plus (unlimited wifi, premium drink package,3 specialty dining). Will that follow us to the Haven? Also I heard that free at sea plus is included with the Haven and if that's the case would they refund me my purchase of the free at sea upgrade? Our cruise isn't until Oct. so I think we have time. Thanks in advance for your advise.

  2. Looking for the main dining room menus for the 5 day Bermuda cruise. Sailing Oct 11, 2023, I was going to reserve our 3 night specialty dining but want to pick the (off) nights in the main dining. I looked at prof. cruise and it posts the menus for a 7 day cruise. Would the first 5 days of these be the ones? Do I even need to book ahead of time or should I wait to get on the ship? My first time cruising Norwegian. Thanks for any info you can provide!!!!! John

  3. Will be sailing (hopefully) on Equinox Feb. 11th and currently have the classic package. We are interested in getting the premium package but was wondering is it best to pre-order it or to wait till on board? Are there better deals for waiting? Thanks in advance, Jersey Cruisers.

I thought the drop in cases was sort of expected after the holiday surge?  A combination of that and the beginnings of the vaccination rollout?  Here's a good, simple article that spells out what herd immunity looks like in the US.  We'll need at least 200,000,000 of us to either be vaccinated or have recovered from the virus.  I'm not sure our testing has been robust enough to have an accurate picture on the number of recovered, but it's nowhere near what we need I wouldn't think.

That is the question how many of us have already had the virus and have recovered without even realizing?

  5. We have decided to do the lift and shift, we were on the equinox Feb. 19, 2021 sailing that they changed the itinerary and shorted the time at Bonaire. And with all the unknowns we feel it would be best to push it out and see what plays out. We will move it to Feb. 9, 2022, same cruise and the itinerary is unchanged so far, this will also give us valentines day on the cruise.

  6. We are currently booked on Equinox Feb. 2021 and have been since Feb. 2019. We are considering doing the Lift and Shift to a 2022 sailing for fears that the cruising experience will be less than desirable. The Lift and Shift as I understand is only available until Aug. so we have until then to make a decision. But if they sail with less than a full ship that might be a good thing for the overall cruise experience, no lines, always a seat a the bar etc.. Anyway the cruise we have is almost fully booked and if they went the less then full route how do you think would they decide on who gets bumped?

So did the revised itinerary retain Curacao?

Here is the email that was sent to me.

"Please be advised the Celebrity Equinox 9 Night Aruba, Bonaire & Curacao itinerary has been modified as detailed below.

Celebrity Equinox, 9 Night Aruba, Bonaire & Curacao Voyage: February 19, 2021 and April 2, 2021

-These changes have been made due to port congestion in the ABC Islands.
-The ports of Oranjestad, Aruba and Kralendijk, Bonaire have been switched in port order.
-The call time for Kralendijk, Bonaire is 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
-The call time for Oranjestad, Aruba is 10:00 AM - 11:59 PM.
-The departure time from Willemstad, Curacao has been revised from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM."

  8. I will be on the Feb 19, 2021 equinox cruise to ABC and have also had an itinerary change. They switched the order we are visiting and shortened Bonaire (2-10). We where looking forward to renting a full day on the golf carts but with the change it screws us. 😠 They also said it was from port congestion.

  9. Booked the Equinox for 2021 through celebrity and received the 3 perks and onboard credit. We usually switch it over to our TA for more credit and perks, this time they can offer me an additional 75$ OBC. We have never been offered an upgrade through the TA in the 6 cruises we booked. If you leave the booking with celebrity do you have a better chance of an upgrade? Or would you just take the 75.00 OBC and be happy with that? I know a bird in hand, but I cant help but think I might be leaving 2 in the bush. Thanks in advance for any advise or experiences John

  10. Perfect!!! Thank you, by the look of it the classic package will be just fine, out of the 44 beers offered I will be able to sample 29. And a lot of the ones out of reach of the classic are also out of reach for the premium anyway.

  11. Does anyone know if you can bring your own recordings of shows to watch on the tv like on a flash drive, and does it work on the edge tvs? If you did, how ?and was it easy? Thank you I will be on the 2/24 sailing can't wait!!!

  12. I just received an email from celebrity for a flash sale for 20% off excursions and packages for my upcoming cruise on the edge 2/24/2019. The cruise is still 4 months away so should I grab at this or will there be others and or possibly better sales? TY

  13. Nice shots! I must say she does look a little "butt ugly" directly from the back, but I'm getting used to it. It will be beautiful from the inside looking out and that's what we'll be doing most of the time! :D From the sides, she is really looking lovely and sleek.

A couple of things from this great shot:

    1) kearney, I think this is your cabin (the one I marked) or it is one cabin to the left, when looking at the accessible cabins above and where the elevator is in relation to your cabin and those cabins. You did well to get away from the lifeboats! :D

    2) I marked one of the "frosted" IV's - this must be what it looks like when you electronically shut the shades?

    3) Also this picture shows the accessible cabin narrow window beside the normal-sized IV windows that kearney noticed in each of those cabins (on 8 and 9), there because the cabin is wider. I still can't tell if they open or not.

bstrong and slugger, here are your cabins, I believe. It looks like you will have nice views :D

That is so awesome!!!! Getting more excited about it now! Thank you!!!:D

  14. We paid $45 p/p to dine in the Tuscan Grill two weeks ago. It was the only really good meal we ate that week. I consider $45 a steal for the quality we enjoyed and I would say it would easily have cost $130 to $150 in a decent restaurant on land.

Yes but you also have to remember that 45$ is on top of the regular dining cost, so if the regular dinning is valued at 50$ that puts it at 95$ per person.:(
