  1. If a location right next to the cruise area is not a super huge concern to you then I'd highly recommend the Residence Inn Marriott Lake Union. I have stayed there 4 times now and loved it. The rooms were clean and they offer the 2 bedrooms if you need them. The prices were also reasonable. The breakfast selection is good. It's a bit longer of a trip via Uber but the hotel is worth it. I'm actually staying there on my pre-cruise before going on the Encore. If you are also renting a car the parking garage is below the hotel so very secure. Another reason I'd highly recommend staying here is because it gets you a little further from downtown Seattle which has high crime right now and its not a safe place to be.

  2. I hope you enjoy your cruise. We'll be going early May and I am super excited. I'll be happy to help answer your questions as best as I can from past cruises.

    1. You should be able to make your time unless things are slowed at the port for some odd reason. I'd just recommend that if you can take your bags off with you. That will greatly speed things up. I didn't do that once and booked a flight much like yours and missed it because it took almost 40 minutes to get my bags. It can be a hassle but if you want to be 100% sure to make the flight best to carry off.

    2. Additional bedding is sometimes in the closet. I've had hit or miss on this one. But luckily, I've had great room stewards and all I had to do was ask them for additional bedding and pillows. By the night time it was there and ready for me. We had our room steward make up the couch in other cruises to be a bed. I am going to assume that this ship will be no different. I have not cruised this ship before but I have the Bliss and it is mirrored almost the same.

    3. Wifi speed on any ship can be hit or miss. The streaming wifi is $34.99 USD/day. On all the ships I have been on, the ability to stream youtube or anything else has been hit or miss. One minute (literally) you have great service, watching away, and next minute its gone and no signal. Weather can affect it as well. So yes you can get it and watch youtube to answer your question. You ultimately must decide if the price is worth it. I don't think I'll pay the price when I can just use my Ipad download the videos with youtube premium and at ports just use wifi  to download more as the cruise goes on. That's my plan. Saves me a ton of money and I pay one monthly bill instead of the almost 250 for 7 days.

Hope this helped a little and again hope you enjoy your cruise.

  3. I have seen various different pictures of aft and side balconies on the bliss. I wonder if anyone who has sailed the bliss has pictures of 15282 which is the room we will be staying in. I'm curious as we are considering if we'll upgrade or stay based on the actual pictures of the aft rooms on that deck. So far I havn't seen anyone that has pictures of deck 15 aft rooms unless I missed them. If its another room that is close to that room then I'd be pleased to see them. Thank you :D

  4. This is why I love this forum. That answered my question perfectly. This has changed my game plan a bit. Thank you all :D. Oh if you wondering what the game plan is. Put the card on there but in case we go nuts have some cash on the books or handy to make sure we don't go over on the card. I just don't like using my debit card cause I've had so many issues with it in the past. My credit card has never done me wrong :D. Plus no international fees :D.

  5. So I can't find online any specifics as it relates to the Brewhouse on the Bliss and the UDP. Does anyone know for sure if it is covered under the UDP and are there any drink limits if it is? If not about what is the cost of say having 4 or 5 beers? Second question which I want to ask people here for personal experiences. We are getting some good funds our way and wonder if I can use a credit card and put money on the books in cash? If so, which do they use first when your on the ship?

    Thanks a bunch :D.

  6. Never experienced that promotion on any NCL ship and done most of the big ones over the last couple of years (most several times)... That offer wasn’t on the Jade this year either (we did a 21 day B2B)...

hmm must have been one of those random cool moments that happens every once in a blue moon. Thanks for the extra info. Off to buy more dining nights :D

  7. So I have read the escapes daily planner as well as a couple of other ships. I have run into the question of if I need to buy more dining nights. With the promo I have 3 but the bliss has so many restaurants I do not want to miss out on something good. On the Norwegian Jade they had a dinner night that was complimentary at one of the pay to eat restaurants. Is that going to be a thing on these larger ships or did they just do away with that all together?
