  1. We are getting a day pass from the Hilton to use their beach/pool area. It's walking distance from the ship and a good value. Google resort for the day (I think) or go to the ports of call page. Many people have done it and detail how to get it and what it includes. I want to say it's like $50 a person but includes $40 of food/drink.

Couldn't Agree more: GOOD value and walking distance from the terminal. Last time I checked is $60 and YES it includes a $40 credit for food.

One word of caution ... TOOO many cruise already know about this and space is limited so it is advisable to book ahead - http://www.resortforaday.com- or you can check IQCruising website for all info about Nassau.

  2. We go every year on a Bahamas/Florida cruise during President's week.

To say you were "acosted" by a nine year-old who wanted to sing a song is disgusting and very Trump-like.

There is a lot to do in Nassau. Atlantis, which is expensive but a great day. You can take a local bus (which we do often) and go to Cable Beach.

The zoo-Ardastra Gardens--is a 15-minute walk or a quick cab ride away and very nice and informal.

You walk the downtown, see the straw market, visit the Queen's Stairs and a few other places like the (very small) fort.

Geez! Stepping off a ship in Nassau in mid-February that left from the northeast is one of the highlights. I hate getting back on and sailing away.

Totally AGREE! There is a lot to do in Nassau. Unfortunately, most cruisers - savvy and otherwise, are put off by the 'congestion' by the Terminal -aka Festival Place. Hair braiding, scooters, taxi harassment ... you name it is a pain in the back - give you that. But, once you out of the terminal area - there are many options besides the typical day in Atlantis. It all depends on what you enjoy to do!
