I am on the Prima right now as of 3/24/24 and there are black soot everywhere on deck 8. This is a real let down, we can’t sit on any of the lounge chairs unless you want your clothes smeared with black soot. Many people are putting beach towels on the lounge chairs and crew members are vigorously cleaning the area.

We were on the Prima late Jan into early Feb, spent lots of time near the Soleil Bar and outdoor indulge lounge and didn’t have any problems soot anywhere on deck 8.

Thanks!  Who knows?  If I ever find myself NOT having the time of my life on a cruise (yes, in steerage), then maybe I'll pull my wallet out and find out how the good people live.   It could happen!

    (or not)🤣

    God bless us Steerage’ers.

With all these "free" drinks promotions I have to believe that the vast majority of cruisers are signed up for this.  What are your experiences onboard with getting a drink in a timely manner?

Never had a problem getting any drinks. Not all bars have blenders so those drinks might require a little search.

Thank you so much for doing this - it really helps others get the most out of their holiday. Very kind.

If you pass by please could you check out the current cost (if there is one) for the darts and the mini golf - both in the stadium I think.

Also favourite bars/drinks/restaurants/ meals would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks, Lisa

Mini golf $10/per person for 9 holes. Darts $5/per hour.

    Hi all-

Booking our first balcony cabin after many cruises and cruising my favorite itinerary of Western Carib (Roatan / Cozumel / Belize / Costa Maya).  We always book an inside cabin so I have no clue if there's a "preferred" side of the ship to book a balcony cabin for this itinerary.  Anyone have advice to share I'd sure appreciate it!  We will be on deck 8 in a BF cabin if that matters at all. Thanks - Amy

    Amy,

We always try to book port side of ship. Going south your balcony is sunny in mornings and shaded in afternoon.  Just the opposite going north.  When in ports sometimes you face the port sometimes the ocean. Hope this helps, it’s our preference. Enjoy.

It's been over a year since we sailed on Prima but I recall it being open every day for lunch.  I just wish they would expand the lunch hours.

They had a great breakfast setup, as well as dinner also.

I am looking forward to Freestyle Dining...none of my previous cruises offered that option & I am excited to try it....I think I will like it very much. Thanks for the share Smitheroo!

Thanks Dawn, if I could ask, which ship a you going on. May be able to get more specific on what it could provide.

ie we enjoy a forward observation lounge but not all ships have them

    Thanks

  8. On our recent B2B cruise we met an outstanding asst Maître d’ on our second day, from St. Lucia, discussed her island and found we had a mutual Acquaintance in a NCL employee widely known to NCL cruisers. She found out it was my brides birthday the next day and we had reservations at Cagney’s for her dinner. She showed up, ordered her a bottle of wine and poured our drinks. Also had a birthday cake sent to our room, even thought I had purchased her the Bday package. Needles too say we became close for the remainder of the 14 days, and her and my bride are Facebook pals. We were truly blessed to have met this lady, a true asset to NCL.

My wife and I are both Sapphire. In the past one of our tier benefits was two dinners. I forget what two restaurants it was but I could have sworn they were named. Now under the listing it says Dinner for two with a bottle of wine and then a few lines down Dinner for two. However it gives no mention of where we can dine for free. We will be sailing the Gem

There good for any restaurant now. Enjoy
