  1. Thanks cindsue, $.0575 per bottle is cheaper, I was referring though that off ship minimum cost per bottle anywhere is going to be $2 USD or more likely 2 euro each. Many times too, they only sell the larger bottles and it's even more expensive plus bulky to carry.

  2. Have been on the Royal, twice. And other ships as well. My experience has been that passengers who arrive early, go to the library and take more books than they likely could read and keep them all until the end of their voyage, thus stock is quickly depleted. Maybe the solution is to require passengers to swipe/wand their room cards for each book removed. It might tell and interesting story.

Now I stock up my e-reader with whatever appeals to me - so it doesn't matter whether their library is stocked. The longer the voyage, the better prepared you might want to be.

  3. Can I come on your voyage, too! Just kidding. The enclave on the Royal Princess is my most fave thing about the ship. Once I knew about the coming of the Enclave on the Royal, I started bombarding Princess with requests for info, updating, everything up until we sailed on her on her maiden voyage because once configured and announced they had sent me info describing the Enclave and I was smitten.

First time on there we went to it on every sea day. It was outstanding!

RCCL Jewel of the Sea had a similar place when I sailed on it in 2010, when I returned to the Jewel in 2016, NADA...they had taken it all out to put in more rooms for a massage. On the Jewel, we had wall to wall windows with the heated tile beds. And now, all gone.

On the Royal, the staffing for the Enclave was outstanding - met some wonderful people there and came to the Regal and brought two more friends with us, just so they could experience the Enclave as well. Hope you will enjoy it as much as we did. Hope the Royal, and Regal keep the Enclave going.

  4. We were on a 14 day Mediterranean cruise on the Royal, July of 2016 with extensive shore excursions. We brought with us thermal water holders (should strap style) and I pre-ordered 4 cases of (12), which was delivered one at a time, and you could call down and ask them to deliver whenever you needed it. We stored as much as possible in our room's refrigerator, thus we could take one or two bottles with us on each excursion, otherwise ashore you'd pay the equivalent of $3US or more per bottle. A case of 12 is $6.90, that's less than $2 per bottle. We toured Pompeii, Ephesus, and things like that when it was over 80 degrees and sunny. That water came in handy. Also, you never know if water will be available for purchase and once in the countries our hotels and/or guides would say never buy it off the street, it may be from someone's home water tap, or a re-used bottle.

  5. Cruising with Majestic out of Barcelona (2 persons) planning a transfer direct to our hotel for our extended stay in Rome. Looking to see if two additional people want to share a private transfer. Becomes two for the price of one. Anyone interested? Transfer service also willing to provide extra touring services. We are on the May 14 - May 21, 2017 segment of the cruise
