Anyone know how many people are on the Jolly Pirate ship? Looking for a smaller ship or catamaran that's not too overcrowded.
-
I'm really worried about sunburn on this excursion. Even with lots of sunscreen, I turn into a lobster. Any thoughts?
-
Price adjustments are not supposed to show up until Monday or Tuesday when they open the ships for booking. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.
-
We went from a midship inside on the Lido deck to a forward interior with a window on Empress deck. Any opinions on these 4J cabins? No word yet on pricing but if there's not a substantial price drop, it's time to move to a new ship.

The splendor is going in for dry dock next year. I don't know what they'll do to her, but hopefully it will make things a little better.
-
Who has sailed in one of these interior cabins? How is the noise from the pool area. We always sail on the Lido deck, but never mid ship. Very interested in your opinions.

I see them selling off the Fantasy and moving one to Charleston. Maybe Glory? Any thoughts?

Doing the single digit dance. Nine more days until 8 days of Freedom!

We've done the forts and Old San Juan and hear the beaches are avoidable. What else is there in San Juan? Please give me some suggestions, our cruise is 2 weeks away!

I was on Freedom in April and I agree with you, it was awesome. Looking forward to the upgrades! I'll let you know when I come back.

Why would you need 1.5 to 2 hours at the Fish Fry? We've not been there yet but its planned for next month.
-
I'm booked on this excursion next month and would also like to hear some reviews about it.

We also only sail in inside cabins, and for the last few cruises, we only sail on the Lido deck. Its so close to the action, don't have to wait for elevators or take the stairs, and still a very good value. We'll be on Freedom in Sept again and will be in our usual Lido deck cabin. Never a problem with extra noise or traffic and haven't noticed any unwelcome rocking of the ship.

My wife and I do that for every cruise. We each have a carry on and another smaller bag and don't have to worry about waiting for luggage at the airport or about lost luggage. We do laundry mid way through the cruise and have never had a problem.

Do they have mats or any kind of floaty things for the water?
-
I know that there are no motorized water toys or the like, but do they have floats or mats available?

I brought back 4 cartons from my last cruise in April and had to go to the back room at customs to pay the penalty. The guy looked all over the place and couldn 't find the forms he needed. He told me it was my lucky day.

Did a pre-2.0 upgrade cruise in April and are scheduled for another in September. Loved the first one and really looking forward to the upgrades. Its a beautiful ship and just adding Guy's Burgers to it will make it even better!

A couple of cruises ago, we split the cost of the cabana between 3 other couples that we met on the roll call. One couple paid for the cabana and we paid our part of it once we got on board. Its a great place to leave your stuff and to use as a base while on the island. As someone said, Carnival doesn't care who uses it, as long as they get paid.

I love getting up early on board the ship! A cup of coffee, a mostly empty deck and the sunrise is a great way to start the day. Unfortunately, I'm not the nightowl I once was and can't stay up to those wee hours any more.

Dancing! 9 days til Freedom!

You can also usually get a free lanyard at the casino and they'll punch a hole in your card.

One big difference is that Glory has the new menus, which I personally hated. Other than that it would depend on itinerary and price. I would choose Conquest for the regular menu.

How many total people were on the ship? I've seen such crowds on excursions, a small group would be great.
