  1. We are considering renting bicycles to tour KW when we are there on Carnival Dream next month. First question is who would be best/closest to rent from, and should we schedule the rental in advance? Next, we will be going to Hemingway House, Blue Heaven, and Kermits and wonder if these places have racks to secure the bikes.

    Thanks!

  2. Thanks for the replies! One more question, please: should we get lockers (are they convenient to get to throughout the day), or should we rent a cabana? I know they are pricey ($110), but we are going to be there all day and it might be nice to have a "homebase". We aren't going to the concert so we plan to do the waterpark/beaches up until closing then see the aquarium/casino etc.. Any thoughts?

  3. When we went to Nassau it was on a Carnival Live cruise (2 yrs ago) so we were there from 7 am - 11 pm. We got our Aqua Adventure tickets thru "Resort for a Day" online 92. It was totally worth it for us to pay the $125 (adult) and $95 (kids) prices because we were in port for SO long. If I remember correctly, the park doesn't open until 9 am.

Will be in Nassau with Carnival Live cruise on May 11th. We have almost decided to do the whole "Atlantis" thing since we are in port so long. My questions for you, since you did it, are: #1-will we be able to hang out after the water park closes to see the aquarium/eat/casino? #2-what time should we leave to go back to the ship? #3-do they have towels or should we bring ours? Thanks! (any other advice would be appreciated!)

  4. I am going on a "Carnival Live" cruise in May 2017. The concert is on the evening we are in port at Nassau, Bahamas. The itinerary states that the ship departs at 11pm after the concert. My question is for anyone who has done this cruise, what time do I have to be back onboard the ship if I am not attending the concert? Thanks!

  5. Ugh, can't remember his name but whoever was the CD on ours (British guy) was going on vacation. I think a girl named Jaime was taking over in his absence.

Just off the Breeze, my first cruise so don't have anything to compare but we LOVED Jaime Dee, the CD. Sooo much energy and heart! Also our cruise set a record for fund raising for St. Jude, over $9,000!

  6. It makes me sad to se these types of posts, No matter how well cared for the animals "appear" for a short visit, they are captive, held prisoner. They are not domestic animals, they are not even native to the island, often with these types of things their parents are killed in the wild so the babies can be taken, why not visit a place these animals live naturally in the wild and do a jungle tour so see them living in their natural environment rather than captive?

From what I have read, these animals are rescues.

  7. They will make you wait until the time on your boarding pass no matter how early you arrive. You can go ahead and check in your luggage but you have to wait. We took our cousins in Nov out of Galveston when it first started and we had a 10:30 check in and they had a 12:00 check in, being their first cruise we waited outside with them and there were some upset people but once you got inside it was smooth sailing and we all walked right on.

Have never cruised before so I am a bit confused about the process. So, if we arrive early in Galveston, we can go ahead and drop off our checked bags at that time? If so, that would free us to go sight-seeing on the Strand or eat lunch on the wharf. Is this right?

  8. The last time I flew, which was domestic, I just quickly and confidently asked for a seatbelt extender as soon as I stepped on the plane, and I was handed one with no hesitation. That repeated on four different planes with the same ease. I don't know if I just got lucky or what, but I was sure thankful for no embarrassing scenes! Maybe you could talk to someone in customer service. Hope you have a great trip!
