Exactly.  Time and time again, cruises disappeared from the site, people asked if their cruises were cancelled, and JH told everyone not to worry.  Time and time again, those cruises were eventually cancelled.  I imagine there will be an official announcement soon.

It now appears he is reciting talking points this morning.

the shift seems to be to the blame game.  If they don’t sail the rest of the year, it’s because of CLIA.

so hold on to you deposits and balance dues.  And your hat.

I don’t think he will be covering any losses of Any Mr. Doomandglooms.

How do you know what is now excluded?

Basically it’s anything you have to now pull your sail and sign card out for.

but it’s so much easier to pull out a brochure from the nineties and go down the “WHATS INCLUDED list.  Or review the Journey cruises amenities.

  3. When cruising returns next year, people are going to decide which line has the best bang for their buck.

that used to go to Carnival.  They had the best entertainment, fun, food, etc.

now to show what they used to be they have to have Journey cruises.  All the things that used to be included.

now there’s more things excluded than included.  And they are going to want their customers to return.  Well the different lines are going to have incentives.  I WISH Carnival rolls out their journey cruises to every ship, every week, to EVERY passenger.

The concern should be for Cruise Ports like Jacksonville. We were always told that the larger ships were not feasible for sailing due to not being able to navigate under the auto/passenger bridge. Does that mean that the Carnival Cruise Lines or the other cruise lines build a new port that is beyond these lower profile bridges? Or do they close these terminals?

I was always intrigued by the QM2 (someone correct me if I have the wrong ship) that had a funnel that could be “lowered” to be able to fit under the VNB during high tide.

All these US States really need to start enacting a higher regard for human lives vs. greed for profitability. Give the Cruise Industry credit for at least "appearing" to care about our safety.

I do believe if they weren’t told they couldn’t, they would.  Businesses want $$, and that safety is on the other side of a smoked mirror.

And the hits just keep on coming.

When my company went down after 156 years. All the guys at the top took their money and ran while they claimed bankruptcy.  5 years later the employees are wondering where their pensions went.

    it gets so dirty.

  7. I was sad when “cruising” ended in the 60’s.  It took years before the industry reinvented itself.  I still remember the day I “discovered” the old SS France all blue and shiny in Miami after a 20 year “absence”.

thats what’s needed here.  I have a feeling cruising as we know it will lie dormant for quite a few years.  No one can spare a 14 day quarantine should even ONE passenger brings it on board.  We need to be vigilant and realistic.
