Im fortunate To have recorded most of my cruises on videotape. I usually watch them in the anniversary date.

Agreed. My fear comes down to being on a ship where even one on board tests positive, and then I’m off for quarantine for two weeks, stuck in a tiny cabin. I can’t even imagine that prison.

Exactly. Time and time again, cruises disappeared from the site, people asked if their cruises were cancelled, and JH told everyone not to worry. Time and time again, those cruises were eventually cancelled. I imagine there will be an official announcement soon.
It now appears he is reciting talking points this morning.
the shift seems to be to the blame game. If they don’t sail the rest of the year, it’s because of CLIA.
so hold on to you deposits and balance dues. And your hat.
I don’t think he will be covering any losses of Any Mr. Doomandglooms.

I don’t read articles that contain words like COULD.

Scratching my head on this one. Although I foresee this attraction closed more often than open, I see myself going for the ride if not just for the views. But only if the line is short.

JH said they're just trying to transfer bookings though. You keep rushing to conclusions! Why would he lie?
It’s ALL about the $$. -

How do you know what is now excluded?
Basically it’s anything you have to now pull your sail and sign card out for.
but it’s so much easier to pull out a brochure from the nineties and go down the “WHATS INCLUDED list. Or review the Journey cruises amenities.

When cruising returns next year, people are going to decide which line has the best bang for their buck.
that used to go to Carnival. They had the best entertainment, fun, food, etc.
now to show what they used to be they have to have Journey cruises. All the things that used to be included.
now there’s more things excluded than included. And they are going to want their customers to return. Well the different lines are going to have incentives. I WISH Carnival rolls out their journey cruises to every ship, every week, to EVERY passenger.

Lol.
Can’t say I have ever seen one in person.
I’ve seen 2 and the hotel in Cable0 Beach. All gone.

The concern should be for Cruise Ports like Jacksonville. We were always told that the larger ships were not feasible for sailing due to not being able to navigate under the auto/passenger bridge. Does that mean that the Carnival Cruise Lines or the other cruise lines build a new port that is beyond these lower profile bridges? Or do they close these terminals?
I was always intrigued by the QM2 (someone correct me if I have the wrong ship) that had a funnel that could be “lowered” to be able to fit under the VNB during high tide.

New York was bad for the first 2 months, mostly in March and April. Since May, we been on the decline and for the past month or two we been holding steady
Yeah cause no one is being shoved into nursing homes.

All these US States really need to start enacting a higher regard for human lives vs. greed for profitability. Give the Cruise Industry credit for at least "appearing" to care about our safety.
I do believe if they weren’t told they couldn’t, they would. Businesses want $$, and that safety is on the other side of a smoked mirror.

. There is a stairway just outside the cabins that goes directly down to the bar, we use that to buy drinks and then enjoy them from our private balcony.
I used that a couple of times just so I didn’t have to walk through the cafe. 🙂

Thanks all.
So does this mean the Aqua class is the “highest” class before the lowest suite?
we were last minute bookers last year, and took the last two concierge available, with a resident rate, and we were quite happy, except that this had been our first non suite in 15 years. -

I dont see the correlation.
my fear is a 3 day cruise becoming a 17 day, a 4 day becoming an 18 day, a 5 day becoming a 19 day, and a 7 day becoming a 21 day cruise.

Make sure if you book, use a credit card so you will be covered should anything bad happen.

I thought I read the Fascination and Imagination were simply being shelved temporarily.

And the hits just keep on coming.
When my company went down after 156 years. All the guys at the top took their money and ran while they claimed bankruptcy. 5 years later the employees are wondering where their pensions went.
it gets so dirty.

Carnival’s Chief Financial Officer just resigned and is leaving to work in another industry. Maybe he knows something we don’t.

Carnival is not going belly up
Oh they are nervous. I originally heard there was no turning back if they weren’t cruising in November. They are now in the cusp of not sailing then, face or no face of Carnival saying otherwise.
and then suddenly there was the selling of ships......

Our cruise was fabulous. I can't believe that it's been a year ago, this month. The Summit was beautiful, after all of the renovations and the staff was amazing as always. I can't wait to cruise again.
Yeah we are bummed we have to do a gap year. Also hard to believe it’s been a year already!

Aft corner wrap on deck 4. Nothing better than that?

I was sad when “cruising” ended in the 60’s. It took years before the industry reinvented itself. I still remember the day I “discovered” the old SS France all blue and shiny in Miami after a 20 year “absence”.
thats what’s needed here. I have a feeling cruising as we know it will lie dormant for quite a few years. No one can spare a 14 day quarantine should even ONE passenger brings it on board. We need to be vigilant and realistic.
