Gorgeous. I still might try the polarizing filter. I have had luck with it in other situations before.

Ev r tone talks about the importance of a zoom lens for Alaska cruise but surely one that is slightly wide angle will come in handy for photos of bays with glaciers. ( also I have no dea what filter to use to bring out the blues in the glaciers ).

I'm thinking of doing a cruise out of NYC with Norwegian on the Breakaway in mid to late September. I'm a 30s guy traveling solo this time. Anyone else going?

I'm a thirties guy. Travelling alone. I've just signed up for the October 20 Anthem Cruise out of Bayonne heading to the Caribbean. Would love to meet others on the same ship.

I'll be travelling alone sometime in the fall, probably October. I will likely do RCCL Caribbean. I would prefer to spend a bit more for better meals and amenities but I figure RCCL will have singles my age.

Also, if you are landing at Newark you could stay at an airport hotel and head directly to Bayonne the next day. I liked the Hilton Newark Airport. The price was fairly low and the room was pretty nice. The have a shuttle from the airport and you would need ground transportation to Bayonne the next day.
