  1. Hi, we have booked a cruise from Fort Lauderdale departing November 2020, we are a little concerned that we will not be able to enjoy a pre cruise stay in Fort Lauderdale due to the cost of things and are thinking of staying in Orlando instead and then driving up on the day of the cruise, we are thinking of 4 or five nights pre cruise stay prior to the cruise, so my question is, is Fort Lauderdale much more expensive than Orlando we like to go to restaurants and have plenty of drinks, shopping in the malls some day trips out.

    Thanks.

  2. Does anyone have a recent experience with the Marriott Day Pass?

I contracted Marriott and they quoted 550 ($30.22)Pesos for Pass 450 ($25.27) credit toward food and drink. Seems like a pretty good deal. Pictures are beautiful on website.

Hi I have been unable to find an email address for the marriott, we would like to contact them about a day pass from the UK, can you provide an email address?

  3. Hello, I have only cruised once before with Princess to Alaska, tbh was not that impressed with Princess cruise very disorganised and food a bit dissapointing in MDR not very hot and two hours to complete breakfast!

We have persuaded my in laws who have never cruised to join us on two Carnival cruises out of Longbeach a four night on the Inspiration followed by seven nights on the Splendor, my in laws are late sixties early seventies and felt that cruising would be too formal for them hence choosing Carnival, I am a little worried if Carnival will offer a nice cruise experience due to reading a few reviews stating that it is more of a cheap party experience. I have read a lot of reviews stating that Carnival is at the bottom of the cruise market and a lot less quality than Princess, however, on our Princess cruise we met fellow cruisers who stated that Carnival was better value and did not feel that Princess was as good?

I would value opinions from others who have cruised other lines as well as Carnival as to the reality of what to expect from a Carnival cruise in comparison to other lines are they really so bad or in fact a good line? What keeps people coming back to Carnival?

I am hoping that my in laws first cruising experience will give them the cruising bug and we can book many more future cruises, I am hoping we have not made a mistake choosing Carnival as a first cruise experience

  4. Hi, only ever cruised Princess once before, really enjoyed their frozen mudslide baileys Kabila and I really cream mixed drink, also something called a grizzly mint chocolate based frozen ice cream mixed drink lived on them, do Celebrity Reflection offer anything similar on premium package, I am debating trying Celebrity but would be really dissapointed if there was no frozen mudslides as it is my drink of choice.

  5. Hi,

First time cruiser with Carnival cruised once before Alaska with Princess, met a few people onboard Princess that stated Carnival was better value?

My question is I have not booked any excursions yet for Cabo, Mazatalan and Puerto Vallarta as unsure if better to wait till we get in to port? We would like to chill out on comfy loungers on beach or maybe do a day pass to a beach resort not sure which is the best option, I was hoping to go whale watching but think it is too late in the season, any suggestions most welcome, we like wildlife and beaches with good selection of places to eat and drink with comfortable lounges.

  6. The crimes were not serious I did not get a custodial sentence or anything just a fine, I have not been in trouble since. In the job I do now I am required to work with vulnerable adults hence I was subject to a full DBS check this has not caused me any problems. I have rang the airline that I am travelling with and they have said I would not be able to board my flight without an eta even though it clearly states on the Canadian government website that during the leniency period passengers can board a flight without a eta if they have their travel documents ie passport. It would be then down to the border officers to decide on entry. Feeling completely stressed. I don't think that I will be denied an eta just worried that it will not be processed in time.

I uploaded the required documents to my online eta account.

  7. Hi,

I booked a cruise from Vancouver without realizing that Canada has strict laws on admitting anybody who has had a criminal conviction. I applied for my ESTA and declared that I had two convictions when I was fifteen years old I am now 36! they requested a police certificate to prove that the offences were over ten years ago. I submitted this three weeks ago and have heard nothing further. I am panicking that I will not get my ESTA as I fly in five weeks time. Any advice greatly received? I read somewhere that youth offences do not prevent people from entering Canada.
