Hi, apologies if this is a common question but I can't find a recent reply ... do Carnival supply robes in the staterooms? Are there hangers on the wardrobe? Thanks, it will save loads of luggage space if they have them.

Thanks for that info about Sweden ... this is all for next Summer so plenty of time to work it out, we are doing a cruise to Alaska this year.
The reason for the research so far in advance is coordinating with US friends who will cruise with us ... need to know in advance.
I love the idea of driving ... specifically to Malmo where I'd like to see the castle ... however if you'd ever been in a long drive with my other half you'd understand why I prefer the train. And yes we will do some ferry trips from Stockholm ... can't miss that.

Thanks all ... we have almost decided to skip the Baltic, Viking has a cruise out of Copenhagen up along Norway and on to the Arctic Circle and back ... we can then get a train to Stockholm for a few days.
As to why we don't want to go to Russia .. we are a gay male couple, the Russian government actively encourages violence against gays and the rate of crime related to that is quite high, gay tourists are often targets of the police ... I have no wish to visit or spend any of my money in that country or support them in any way.

Thanks for the replies ... still looking, and looking. I wish there was an app to do this sort of stuff.

Hi, does anyone know of a cruise in the Baltic that doesn't include St Petersburg? I have started research but so far not found anything ... thanks.
-
Thanks for that ... never been on a cruise before so zero knowledge of what's available.

Possibly a silly question but here goes ... are there gym towels supplied or available in cabins to take with you? Should I just take a quick dry one with me?
Ghanks.

500 bucks! Better be a good breakfast.
I want to stay downtown, I've not been to Seattle before and didn't want to be stuck out in the sticks.
I ended up booking the Ace Hotel for AU$197 P/N which I thought was okay then after doing more research found the Moore Hotel downtown, it doesn't come up in the search engines so hadn't seen it before. Got a queen room for US$145.47 ... it gets good reviews on Tripadvisor, so we went for it. I refuse to pay Seattle prices ... we are off to New York after the cruise and got a Hilton at a lower price than most of those in Seattle ... ridiculous really.

Absolutely completely illogical.
If you get to Carnival Legend topics you can't search that, you have to search the entire Carnival fleet. If you ask a Cruise Question you are told that's not the place and sent to a different page ... so what exactly is a cruise question then if not a question about a cruise? If you want to ask a question about Alaska don't ask on the west coast departures page because that's not for Alaska which is part of the west coast departures isn't it? And if you finally find the Alaska page it's listed under "ports of call" ... when was Alaska a port ... isn't it an entire state?

It's more than confusing ... it's completely irrational. This whole site is one of the most haphazard set ups I've ever seen. Trying to find anything is a trial for newcomers.

Wow! That's great stuff ... many thanks.

Hi, we are on the Carnival Legend in August, can anyone point me to where to find alternative excursions ... I have looked on Trip Advisor with little success. The helicopter/dog sled day is just way out of our budget, $500 per person!!!! Any help appreciated.

Thanks guys ... I was looking at inside cabins with french doors and was hoping to get one with a 'view' between the boats ... we ended up getting a balcony cabin on Empress Deck after all that. Thanks again.

Hi, we have just booked Carnival Legend for Alaska ... it's our first cruise and I'm wondering about selecting a dinner time. We get really early or 8:30 ... we went for the open time. Does this bring about any problems with getting fed?
Thanks.

Hi, regulars may know this ... when on the cabin selection page of the web-site they give you 10 cabins to choose from. Is there a way to pick a cabin not on the list ... I have been recommended a particular one and I'd love to know if I can choose it ... but I don't know how or even if it's possible. So can you select your own or do you just get what you get?
Thanks.

Hi, regulars probably know when you get to Carnivals' cabin selection page you are given a set number of cabins to choose from ... is there a way to choose a particular cabin? I have a list of the ones I'd "love" to choose but none are on the website as available ... is there a secret way to do it? Or do we just get what we get?
Thanks.

How do I remove this thread? Can't find how too, thanks.

Hi, I have a quote from i-cruise which is part of Alaskacruise.com for Carnival legend which is substantially lower than through Carnival direct ... and it includes Seattle hotel accommodation. Being a tad suspicious I went looking for reviews of these agents and nothing popped up ... I'm a total cruise novice, this would be my first one and of course we don't want to get ripped off. Any advice anyone? Are they trustworthy?
Thanks.

Hi, we are cruising from Seattle August '16 ... I have been pricing downtown hotels and I'm a little shocked at the prices, however need to find something for one night.
Is there an optimum timeframe to book during the year that anyone knows? Any particular sale period or is it a matter of demand and no bargains during the cruising season? Thanks for any advice.

Thanks again ... we have been to Seattle before so only planning on having one extra day. And even though we fly economy domestically in the US I seem to always get TSA pre-check clearance, my other half unfortunately does not so I take all the hand luggage.

Thanks guys ... I have been looking at those threads mentioned earlier, very informative. Seems I was led astray by someone a little bit overly cautious. I did some sums and couldn't work out why we should leave it until late afternoon. Thanks again.

Hi, I'm a newbie and complete novice.
We are taking Carnival Legend Alaska cruise from Seattle, we need to know the timeframe to get disembarked and to the airport. The boat gets in at 7am, would a 11:50am flight be possible? I inly ask because we don't want to arrive into New York at midnight ... thanks for any help.

Thanks all for the information ... I have been reading that it's colder than usual at the moment so had to rethink what to pack. Robes are just too bulky.
Thanks again.
