We used the future cruise desk once and the only thing he did was look up rooms over the internet, do the booking, and take your money. Nothing we couldn't do ourself and that area was swamped and he was beyond stressed with no time for anything extra. We wanted specific info on accessibility but he said he would have to connect with Miami which was no help.

Thanks everyone for you very quick responses. I was hoping for full participation but I know that's asking a lot. Our last few cruises have been with Carnival and quite frankly you could go to the mdr in you pjs and flip flops. They have quite a few tables for 2 but they are so close to each other that you would wear a formal dress next to someone wearing the robe provided. We started to cruise back when taking a cruise meant something special and have lost some of that feeling while on Carnival and hope to recapture at least some of it with Princess. Im not usually picky but when we had the American menu I usually found the appetizers good but for the main course I usually had to go to the everyday items. I tried but did not like the new menu

Norfolk built built that brand new terminal to encourage these ships to come into this great city. I wish we could see Carnival and the others offer more cruises from here more often. They are truly unique to go over that great bay bay bridge tunnel. These cruises always go out full so why not offer at least 1 or 2 more?

To tell the truth every time my husband and I join we are ignored. Seems like a group forms inside the roll call and if you aren't in that group they don't talk to you. I have had more posts ignored than I can say so I don't try anymore.

The Carnivale. It seemed large at the time and really got the cruising ball rolling! LOVED IT!

Quam, i'm so sorry to hear about your wonderful dog, sure seems like it's a bad. week.

It seems. like yesterday that i lost Valentine to congestive heart failure out of the blue.

These dogs are special that if you've never had one you just can never understand. I have been attached to all of the dogs that have come into my life, but, to have a service dog is to have a friend, playmate, a confidante, watches over you 24/7, and saves your life too. I can't begin to write just how much Valentine ment to me or how much she saved me. I miss her to this day. Our bond was so strong that i haven't been able to think of another service. dog being in my life.

This board really brings people (and doggies.) Together and lets us share our joy, problems, and help when thesse tragic things happen. I remember coming here the first time with a question abou paperwork to take my dog on a cruise and what i found were friends who truly care. And leading our pack is Roz who is always here with information, stories, and love and reassurance when needed.

Roz, you remain in my thoughts today and i'm sending prayers your way.

I too just read about the loss of our much loved Brenda and sit here in tears. I will always remember her and her specialness even though we never met. I remember all the stories of how she could quiet even the hardest tantrum of the child with autism with her quiet loving calmness. I'll rember of the fights that she helped you fight against stupid public who were too ignorant to see how special these dogs are. She was a special soul and ambassador for all service dogs to strive to be like.

I'm glad that having the plans made made it a little easier as it is a horrible thingto have to go through. When Valentine's time came it came so out of the blue there was no time to even plan, and i'm so grateful David was here to help me decide the right thingto do.

I too had Valentine cremated and her urn has a small figure of a Japanese Chin on top. They also made a footprint and gave me a tufft of her hair. She sits on the table so i see her every day.

I haven't posted lately but i always read to see what Brenda and Horton are up to.

I hope she can meet up with Valentine on that wonderful bridge and have a good romp together.

Take solice in the love Horton gives and we are here for you when you want to talk.

Bring extra diapers and food if not on regular food. Swim diapers are not allowed in the pool so if you want the child to play in water bring a babypool or bath tub.

I'll be married 36 years next week. Nuttin scares me anymore!

I appreciate you all trying to help me on my first cruise with a dog. Should I leave my dog behind while in the main dining room on Carnival? Celebrity's dining rooms are very crowded. There would really be no room for her.

Carnival makes seating comfortable for you and your dog so no need to leave her behind. Also this is when the stewards make your room ready for the night so leaving a dog in your room could be a problem. It would be alful if the dog became afraid and ran out of the room. The staff is wonderful and i'm sure you will have a great time just remember it's not Celebrity.
