It sure would have been nice if NCL notified us ;-). We embark tonight, 6/20, and we were notified by independent excursion vendors in Skagway a few days ago. I am guessing that most of the passengers do not know, unless they have found out as they boarded today.

This board has been invaluable to me in planning our vacation! Thanks to all who share their experience and knowledge. Still have a few questions that I haven't found any answers to, probably because I haven't looked hard enough, but I keep getting distracted...

1. A poster on this board mentioned that the Sun was in port at Sitka instead of Icy Strait. Where would you find this information in real time?

2. People seem to know how many ships will be in a given port on a given day, and if their ship will be tender(ed?) or docked. Do I need to look at individual ports to find this info or is it centralized somewhere? Does it give a specific pier # (not sure if that is the right terminology)

3. Re: upsells- are the prices that most people mention as per person, does that mean you have to pay for all 4 people in the cabin if you have that many?

4. My paperwork from NCL says I have a transfer from my end port to the airport, and gives provider info (SMSand Sons Vancouver) and then proceeds to give debarkation information for Anchorage. Can someone copy and paste the info for Vancouver?

5. Do the dailies come out the night before? Or at the crack of dawn?

Ok, I am sure I am forgetting other questions, but this is all my brain can handle right now.

I booked a heli/dogsled tour directly with Temsco by calling them directly. I am on a NCL cruise and it didn't seem to be a problem for Temsco.

So, I have the SDP as a free perk, but only for my husband and I. The perk didn't include our two kids in our cabin. I assume that I am not allowed to give my son my card for he and hubby to go to one of the specialty restaurants while DD and I dine in one of the standard restaurants? Is that correct?
