So mean dining in what is now called the Sanctuary restaurant?  I would assume we wouldn't get all of the the Sanctuary benefits. I'm sorry for all the questions.

Where did you see that the Cabana Deck Mini Suite does not get the Reserve amenities? They are still showing the Reserve benefits in their descriptions on the website. We were also told new name same benefits.

I do not believe that they are included in your one carry on and can be carried on separately. I know I read this somewhere but cannot find it. I will keep looking.

I just saw a post by Gerrilyn who boarded the Sun and was surprised to find she was upgraded to a cabana mini suite reserve collection set back from sea. 
I would not want this.

in the past I have had my TA mark no upgrade, but got one anyway.

Anyway to avoid an unwanted upgrade?

I don't know if this is the same case but our TA changed the cabin we requested because it accommodated 4 passengers and we are only 2. She made it seem like Princess can bump you if they need that cabin for more passengers. I had never heard that before, but glad we have her to help us.

1. Anybody seeing the new menus in Luminae? The app for our cruise next month only has lunch for the first day in it. It has all the main dining room and blu menus, but nothing for Luminae. 

We have done both and I would recommend Greek Isles if you want a busy port intensive cruise and see the most beautiful places. Hawaii was great also, more relaxing low key cruise. You cant go wrong either way.  Kim

Also check to see if it is cheaper just to upgrade your cabin to Aqua with your travel agent. I read a post on here that someone got a suite cheaper than the minimum bid for a suite. That way you both could get in an Aqua class together. If you get the move up and they don’t they will not be able to dine with you in Blu.   

Thank you for the responses. Pre-covid we have been to Orient Beach many times and have never had any problems with transportation to or from. Looking for more current experiences (post covid). 

Have there been any issues getting a cab from the Port to Orient Beach? We have a tour scheduled to go there through the ship, but would prefer to get there on our own if possible. Any and all experiences with this are appreciated. Thanks, Kim

We are on the Feb 6 sailing in a aft sky suite. This will be our first post covid cruise, and we are so ready to be cruising again!! Not our first suite but first on The Edge. My question is are you able to order off the other menus in Luminae? My DH loves escargot and orders it almost every night. It wasn’t a problem on our previous cruises, but Luminae was near the other kitchens and of course on the Edge it is not. Thank you so much for all the updates, enjoying following your cruise!

Our most recent experience was, when we booked we were assigned a cabin (sky suite 2) within a month. It was an ok location and an accessible cabin which we didn’t need, but liked the idea of the larger cabin. After we made final payment I realized that the cabin number was different. We ended up to our surprise with an aft facing S2 cabin smaller than the accessible one but we absolutely loved the location. 

Our drinks package and internet package perks showed up on our celebrity account a few weeks before our cruise. It shows up under cruise packages under order history.

And….tell me again when they're supposed to appear?  My cruise is in 6 weeks and all I have there is specialty dinner reservations.

 

 

Ours did not show up until 3-4 weeks out. We also have the internet package as a perk and it showed up as well. Your onboard credit should already be showing.

The upgrade option didn’t show up in our cruise planner until a few weeks before our cruise. Kim

To us it is worth it. We love Blu.

If you go to the celebrity website you can’t even pull up any deck plans for the Constellation. Or at least I wasn’t able to.   Kim

This is a much discussed topic.  Midship AQ cabins will have an overhang above your balcony.  It will be shady virtually all of the time.  Many are also under the pool deck.  Some here complain of noise, others see no issue.  Forward AQ cabins have no overhang, and are much closer to the gym and Thermal Suites.  Some, however, are under the treadmills and that's also an issue for some.   A few are under the AQ Cafe and dish clanging is an issue for some.  I prefer 1540, starboard.  It's far enough away from the window washer so as not to obstruct, and it's under the hair salon.  Quiet from above.  The service door across the hall has never bothered us. Reflection's extra deck is a bit different.  The salon is port.   Enjoy!

Another thing to consider, there are way less stewards then there use to be. They are spread very thinly. Less people covering more cabins! Tipping extra I am sure is always appreciated, but the most important thing is making sure you are positive in your post cruise questionnaire. That is how they get their promotions and any extra benefits. 

We made our reservation on board, because there was 6 of us and we couldn't do it online. If I remember correctly it was still a late seating, about 8:30. We did not have a great experience. It is not enclosed, so it opens to the atrium, where loud music was going on and you could barely hold a conversation. The chairs are also huge wing back chairs, that also make it difficult for conversation. I pretty much disappeared when I sat in it. My dh is 6’4” and fit much better, but still looked small compared to the chair. We also had to send back a couple of steaks because they were overcooked and by the time one came back dinner for everyone else was over and it still came back wrong. He did not have to pay for his meal, but it was uncomfortable for all of us! Sorry for the rant, just wanted to give you a heads up! I am sure there are many more good experiences, but we were just disappointed.    Kim
