Oooh. You are on my sailing. I briefly bid on the celebrity suite at the minimum for me which I think was like 1,175, but I ultimately couldn't justify the price for the trip, so I cancelled. But it looked like there were quite a few celebrity suites left. I have kept my bids on the sky suites because they were less, as well as an aqua class. (I'm in a normal infinite veranda now.) But I don't have a lot of hope since those seem pretty booked up! That was a strong bid. Did you find out right away?

I think we put our bids in on 12/18. Got confirmation today. We got a really good deal on our original booking so overall we're happy with it. The bid we put in was right in the middle of the range offered. I'm curious if anyone else has received confirmation for this sailing.

  3. Well I've read this entire thread and laughed out loud a couple of times so thanks for that.  "Here we go.." was my fav followed by "It's a crocodile..." And my husband's ties and sport's jacket are staying in the closet 😆 on our next cruise which is this coming Saturday - yeaaaa!!!

  4. We've stayed in a sky suite on the Edge before and have one booked again. I agree with Cruise a holic on the perks - most especially on the Edge class ships. The retreat area is really nice.  Having said that, our go-to cabin on Celebrity is Aqua class specifically for access to Blu. We have often found that cost wise it is little more than Concierge class. Obviously it depends on the specific cruise but that might be a good option for you if want the private restaurant but still want separate cabins.

  5. We always eat early so we never have issues with having to wait. We sailed on the Solstice within the 1st couple weeks of its launch in Aqua class and have never looked back. We much prefer the smaller dining room, have always had great service. We've only done one cruise on the non-Solstice class ship with the converted option to Aqua class and it did seem a little tougher for the staff to deliver. Still fine but I think the kitchen is farther away on the ships with the conversion.
