  1. Good morning, everyone! We have an upcoming cruise to the Caribbean with Royal Caribbean at the end of April, and I am trying to figure out some of the logistics in terms of traveling with two kids. On our last cruise we used the Go Port service right from the airport which was super convenient. However, this trip we have a bit of a curveball involved as we will be traveling from MCO to Walt Disney World for three nights prior to the cruise. We have two kids, 4 and 1 1/2 years old. We will be using the MEARS shuttle service to get us from MCO to Disney so that is not a problem. We have an FDA approved inflatable car seat for the 4-year-old, and we were hoping to book Uber XL with car seat for our younger child. After finalizing our check-in time for the cruise, I went to book the Ubers, however, and UberXL with car seat is only available for one of these trips (available for Disney --> port but not for port --> MCO at the end of the trip).

Trying to brainstorm what other options we have now. Is a private car service the only option at this point? I definitely do not want to wait until we are there to just wait and see if an Uber XL with car seat is available. Thanks in advance for any ideas y'all have, these boards have been very helpful over the years!

  2. Thanks for everyone's reply - Delta finally got back to me so just wanted to confirm for anyone else who may have the same question that the 62" for them DOES include wheels. I don't need to worry about 50 lb limit because we are flying business class and it's 70 lb limit. Thank you everyone!

  3. We recently had a flood destroy a lot of our belongings stored in the basement, including our luggage. We are looking at purchasing new large luggages for checked baggage on our upcoming flight to Europe for a cruise. I read on Delta's website that their size restriction is 62" maximum when you add height + length + width. Does anyone know if this includes wheels or not? The luggage I want to purchase is 64" including wheels, which will work if Delta's restriction does not include wheels (like American Airlines restrictions specifies that it does not include wheels). If anyone could clarify it would be much appreciated, as Delta is taking a while to get back to me about my question. Thank you!

  4. Hello! We are traveling to La Spezia on an upcoming September 2017 cruise. I have a few questions I was hoping previous travelers to this city could help shed some light on.

    1. Is it possible to do all five Cinque Terra cities in one day? We have from 7:00am-7:00pm in this port. If not, which ones are the highlights?

    2. We were also looking into the Castello di San Giorgio, but I noticed on the museum's website it says they are open "Wednesday through Sunday." Is there anyone who can confirm that they would not be open on a Tuesday then? Does this mean that just the museum part is closed, or is the whole castle closed?

    3. Would it be feasible to visit 1-2 Cinque Terra cities and then visit the castle (assuming it is open) later in the day?

Thank you for any feedback - it's greatly appreciated as we have never been to this region before!

  5. We are traveling to La Spezia on an upcoming cruise and will be in port from 7:00am-7:00pm. What is an estimate of how much time it would take for two adults to travel to all five Cinque Terra cities? Is this even possible in one day without having to rush back to port? Thank you!

  6. Can anyone who has been to Bodrum on a Monday confirm that the Castle and Museum are open to cruise tours, even though the website says they are closed? The Celebrity rep told me they would be but I'd like to verify. Thank you!

We went in June 2016 and the castle was definitely open on Monday. I can't speak to any museums as we just went to the castle and then walked around and had some lunch and drinks on the water. It's a beautiful place to visit - the food is great!

  7. I have to say, I know there are quite a few negative reviews of Sushi on 5 but my husband and I absolutely loved it on our honeymoon back in June. We ate there three times! In the beginning of the cruise, we definitely noticed that it was pretty empty and after our first meal we couldn't figure out why: the food is phenomenal. There are definitely plenty of delicious options for those who don't love sushi: the pork belly hot pot was stellar and I still dream about those ramen kobe beef sliders! Towards the end of the trip it started to fill up more, which was encouraging because I certainly hope they will continue to have this restaurant around on our next cruise next year!

  8. Hello! My fiancé and I will be traveling to Eastern Europe on a Celebrity Reflection cruise in early June for our honeymoon. We are super excited, but this is my first time on a cruise and my first time in Europe this time of the year. I want to make sure I pack correctly. Our ports include Rome, Naples, Santorini, Mykonos, Kusadasi, Chania: what kind of weather should I expect to be packing for? From what I've been reading generally online, I am thinking it will be hot (i.e. sundresses and shorts) but would like to know what the likelihood is of there being colder weather. For example, do I need to bring a sweater or sweatshirt for when we are in port? Also, are the rooms inside the ship (dining rooms, etc.) cold? Thank you!

  9. Hello everyone! This is my first post on Cruise Critic but I have been reading the forums and website for a while now in preparation of our June 2016 eastern Mediterranean cruise for our honeymoon. We will be in Bodrum on a Monday and I'm reading that a lot of sites are closed that day. Does anyone know if the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus will be open that day, or if it is something that would be easily visible to us even if it isn't technically "open" on Mondays? We were really looking forward to seeing this because it is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and are pretty bummed that it sounds like we won't be able to. We will only be in Bodrum this one day. Any advice? Thanks in advance!
