A "Hump" cabin is a cabin that sort of "sticks out" from the others on a deck..you can see these easily on RCI's Quantum, Oasis, Freedom & Voyager class ships..also Celebrity Solstice class, Royal & Regal Princess, NCL Getaway, Escape, etc....they offer a slightly better & unobstructed view of the aft & bow because the balconies are sticking out a bit- I LOVE them & try & get them whenever possible...any specific cruise ship cabin questions, let me know & congratulations on your 1st ( I think) balcony! Don't forget to either print out my suggestions , or write them down....

Thank you for your your response. I have booked on the Thomson Discovery (previously the Royal Caribbean Splendour of the Seas)
I have chosen a balcony cabin, but not picked a particular cabin number yet - any advice gratefully received!!

Hi, I am pleased to see so many positive comments about a balcony cabin. It has made me feel better about paying the extra! I'm intreagued though, what is a hump cabin and should I be getting one??
