  1. If you're just feeling "meh" about a cruise line, you definitely should try others. Sometimes just comparing the different products gives you a different appreciation for each one.

My husband and I had a TERRIBLE, awful, no good, very bad cruise on NCL 20 years ago. He refused to go back. I went on NCL in April 2017 on an 11 night Med cruise with my best friend, and it was totally amazing. Hubby has now agreed to a 7 night Caribbean on NCL in 2018.

We cruise on RCCL, HAL, Princess, (now) NCL, and Celebrity. We go with the best itinerary/price combination leaning in favor of RCCL because of our Diamond Plus status.

    Whatever you choose, enjoy!!!

Suggest you give MSC a try as their status match gives diamond plus a black card in their Voyagers club, the highest, we have booked Magnifica next year for this reason
  2. We are booked on Rhapsody next year June have not got the flight times yet but assume will probably be same as you we live in Blackpool so expect to fly jet2 also, what time was your return flight? Marco Polo airport can be a bit of a nightmare I know so did you have plenty of time to spare and how was your cruise I understand that Rhapsody is going into dry dock in December so should be freshened up when we go.

  3. CanadaRob, the closest in size that I had gotten was the Navigator. I didn't think it was too big and for the most part, I'm a small ship girl....I love the Serenade and the Radiance and the Grandeur.

We all liked the Indy though a lot. The boys had nothing to compare it to and their only complaint was that we had to leave. DH only had the Grandeur as a comparison. But for me, I really liked the Promenade area, I liked the very separate pool area for the smaller children. I didn't like the position of the Diamond Lounge as it didn't have great viewing space and it was tucked up over the sports court The Schooner Bar was a little open for me; didn't have that intimate feel like on the ships I mentioned before. Those would be my only "complaints". I did still feel like I was on a cruise ship with places to sit/walk and stare at the big blue ocean.

Was the diamond lounge not just off the sky lounge and did it have a key card entrance,we are going next May from Southampton, also is there also the option of three free drinks for diamond members at other bars which I understand RCI have brought in to try and ease the numbers in the diamond lounge? Regards and thanks for the excellent review.
