Sailing with my sister next week on Wonder.  When we get together, I drink way more than I should, so we both got the DX package.  My question is, can I gift my 5 D+ drinks to someone or are they just lost?

How do you reserve this?  Just go there on boarding day and see if they have availability?  Do you have to go every day that you want a reservation and check?

So this is interesting and not something I knew.  I have an EDL (border state) and I need to renew my passport.  But I have cruises August, September, November and January!  I'm thinking my best bet is to renew right after the November cruise, but I doubt it will be back (even WITH expedited) before the January cruise.  So you are saying RCL will accept just the EDL without my birth certificate?

We are on the September 18th cruise on Jewel too. They were happy to sell me flights last week too. I would think that RC would be fairly certain these new sailings will be a go or they wouldn’t have spent the money to move the ships and market them.

That is an interesting question. I seem to remember on the RC page that they are only recognizing Pfizer, J&J, Moderna, and AZ.

I was under the impression these cruises are for Uk residents only. 

They added flights so everyone would be in the same bubble.

 

These are definitely NOT cruises for UK residents only. They are heavily marketing them to US citizens. And Cyprus is open to vaccinated people without restrictions.

Not sure about that.  I have my booking confirmation right in front of me, along with my booking for airfare through Air2Sea.  Not sure why RC would sell this to Americans if they were only planning to sail with UK residents.  I'm fully vaccinated and have been for a month now.

Are you coming from the US as well?  Flight costs were crazy!  We booked through Air2Sea and the cheapest option was $1200 per person!  My TA said she expects RC to release more as it gets closer.  We have Harmony Med booked for July, just made final payment so I expect them to cancel that any day now! 

Jumped on this the day they released the itineraries.  My TA said that Americans can book so I'm hoping it will be fine.  We are both fully vaccinated and ready to go.  Booked for September 18th and got an aft Jr suite.  After five cancellations we are ready.  

What do you think of Barcelona for August?  My final payment is due next week and I'm stressing about it.  If it sails, I will go, but I don't want to give RC any more money and wait months on end for a refund.  They already owe me over $5k so I don't want to fork over another $4k if they are going to cancel.

One of mine is scheduled for 31 days from now.  What are my chances??!!

Mine are all still showing in my planner page as well.  Even though one of them is clearly within the upcoming 30 days….I wouldn't get too excited. :-(

They set it up at Guest services onboard Mariner. The transportation specialist or something hooked me up. They put me on a van that was going to FLL airport. I was in the last group to disembark and they personally walked me to the shuttle and through customs. It was great! 

Its called a side to side.  I did it earlier this year, but actually went from Mariner at port of Miami to Independence at Port Everglades. Royal was great, they even arranged free transportation for me.

Just throwing this out there, if I were assigned that room, I'd take a freaking down grade to an OV or an interior! I'm way too superstitious to ever accept that room! :cool:

On Anthem, we watched a game at the big screen at the pool. That was our favorite part of that cruise!

The car is the body. Car occupies parking spot as butt occupies chair.

If I were king of the world, and clearly I'm not :-), I would treat deck chairs like a parking lot. If your caboose is in the chair, it's yours for as long as you are sitting in it. If your caboose is not in the chair, it's for another guest to use. I simply can't remember a time when I had a great parking place at the grocery store but needed to go have lunch (or fill in the blank with whatever) so I reserved my great parking place for when I get back. It may be 29 minutes or it may be 3 hrs. Sounds ridiculous, right? Because it is ridiculous. If my car is not in the parking place, it simply isn't mine. As I watch around the crowded areas, people are coming and going quite frequently. If everyone would only use the chair when they were actually sitting in it there WOULD be enough to go around. The cruise lines would help by having a designated area where you could leave your beach bag and belongings while swimming. I've seen people stand around in the pool for a LONG time, walk over to their chair, grab their stuff and leave. Why tie up a chair for your bag/towel? My DH actually thought my idea was crazy until our last cruise when he actually watched the activity. So many people walking around looking for a place to sit, 15 people in the pool and 200 lounge chairs being held down by towels. The concept of leaving your chair for (fill in the blank with lunch, get a drink, go to the restroom) wouldn't be unreasonable, except that uncivilized people don't adhere to that, so......I would eliminate saving of loungers at all. I truly think it would actually work better than what we have now.

Ive never not found a chair either. Might not be where I want it but we always find chairs somewhere. I think you obviously let this get the best of you though. I wouldnt waste any time asking about that in guest services. Just enjoy your vacation. Dont sweat the small stuff

You are fortunate that you’ve never been on a full ship of 1400 children. I was on Navigator in January and EVERY day, they were patrolling for chair hogs with stickers. Allure in August-same. In fact, every recent cruise, they’ve patrolled even when it’s not necessary. I asked the pool attendant to please help me find ONE chair and he refused. At that point, no way was I tipping him.

I wish it were true, but seriously doubt it. In the past 15+ RCCL cruises I've seen them putting stickers on chairs ONCE. At any time of day or night.

Every cruise I’ve been on, they tag. And I confirmed with both the pool manager and guest services that they do NOT tag or patrol between 10 AM and 6 PM. Totally ridiculous. Chair hog heaven on Freedom of the Seas.
