.I talked a large group into joining us on the Seaside. Everyone is reading reviews and wants to cancel. Any word if the sewage smell can be corrected. Also, this is a very casual group - all eat at the buffet 3 meals a day. If the dinner buffet does not start getting better reviews, I have no hope of saving this group. I really hope MSC is reading the reviews. I'd love to try this ship. We have been on more than 55 cruises. It would be nice to add another line to the list.My wife (agent) received the following reply from her MSC representative a few days ago. ??
Yes, that issue has been resolved.
We unfortunately experienced a ventilation issue with one of the air conditioning units due to an erroneous installation during the ships construction. Its location has resulted in some occasional uptake of undesirable odors from other systems on the ship which were becoming more frequent under some specific wind conditions. A technical solution has already been identified and implemented. It has considerably reduced the bad odors and will progressively eliminate the issue entirely.

We just did this a couple of weeks ago without any problems for a 12:30 flight. We just carried our own luggage off at 7:00 am, grabbed a taxi, and were there with plenty of time to spare.

Several (5-6) years ago we stayed, on two separate trips, in a Best Western hotel IN the San Juan Airport. Nothing fancy, very small rooms, but very convenient for a late night arrival. (Took about 1/2 hour to check in because there were so many guests checking in).
I'm wondering if the hotel still exists, since I don't find it listed on the Best Western site.
Still there, just no longer a Best Western.

Not sure why our November 11 Summit is not listed with modifications on the Celebrity website .....
It is not listed because there are no schedule changes

This is all that was close by when we stayed there, unless you wanted to take a long hike or taxi.We also thought of booking this hotel but it doesn't appear to have a lot of stuff within walking distance -
We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and thought it was fine .

I have just booked this hotel for 1 night both pre and post cruise.
Looking for some information on what to see in the area and how to see it.
Also, how to get to the Port of Miami - taxi/Uber?
Also, opinions on hotel as a location for the port.
Also, I can't tell from the pictures if the hotel is high rise, can anyone help?
Great Hotel, stayed here a few years ago. We used a taxi and it was a flat rate of $24 or $26, can't remember which.

The buffet seemed to feel more crowded on the Breeze than on Escape. Other than that they felt similar to us in terms of crowding, not too bad. We did not do the slides on Escape but did on Breeze and didn't experience much, if any wait. It appears that the slides on Escape would be more fun. We didn't do the rope course on either the Breeze or Escape but did on Getaway)sister to Escape). The wait on the rope cause on the getaway was minimal but did notice that the cause seemed a little backed up on Escape. Sorry but don't have any recollection of waits on Breeze. The rope course, in my opinion, is so much better on the Escape than Breeze. The age of passengers on our two cruises (Escape vs Breeze) that I'm comparing appeared older on Escape but did seem to noticed a fair amount of strollers. Do agree with previous poster that on the Escape the flow of buffet works well and we dined at O Sheehan's many times and enjoyed it.Thanks for your insight. How did the crowdedness compare? How long were the waits for the slides and ropes? Are the passengers ages pretty comparable? -
We have been on both and didn't have any issue on either one. The dining room food was better I felt on the Breeze, not to say the Escape was bad. The entertainment, as far as the theater, was better on the escape but musicians on the Breeze were better to us. Of course, the muscians change all the time and likes or dislikes are subjective. On both ships we had interior rooms and it felt like the Breeze was slightly larger and the layout was better. I'm not a burger lover but did enjoy the burgers at Guy Fieri's very much. If you have a specific question I will try to answer if I can. Don't think you can go wrong with either and of course the Escape is newest of the two!Can anyone who has been on both compare the NCL Escape and the Carnival Breeze? Just the ship itself, I am not concerned with the ports. What are pros and cons of both. I will be sailing with some first timers and we are undecided. -
We stayed here a couple of years ago and enjoyed our stay very much. My opinion could be biased since our stay was free.Anyone stay here recently? Share your experience! have some points to spend and could book this for free. I know our taxi fares will be a bit more than staying around port of Miami. -
Hi Sharon,
I will also be staying at Sleep Inn next February and wondering what is left in the shopping center across the street .. Is the Dollar Store still there? I know the Mexican restaurant is gone. Some one posted there is still a Chinese restaurant there, is that it for a meal within walking distance?
Debr
stayed here a month ago and the Chinese restaurant was still there, Pretty sure the dollar store was as well

Just used SAS this past weekend with no issues other than a little slow picking us up at the POM.

It is called Go Shuttleyears ago we used to fly into FLL and were able to just grab a shared shuttle to hotel in Miami. I recall you just claimed luggage and went to certain area and it was like $15 a person. When searching FLL website, I do not locate anything about shared ground transportaion from the airport. Is this still an option or must you prebook with super shuttle or another company. -
We used them a week ago - great service !We used SAS about a month ago for our trip from Port of Miami to FLL. We made our reservation on line about 6 weeks before the cruise. They e-mailed us a couple of days later with instructions for our return. The whole process went pretty smoothly. -

You have to insert a key card to use the power while in the room; while any non-Norwegian key card will do, there's a little light on the exterior of the door that shows if you're using the power or not--and that's how the steward knows when to clean your room. I believe the two buttons near the door as you exit the room activate different lights so the room steward knows when to make up your room.

early is 6:00pm, there was a lounge for overflow of DL and you could have three drinks (preloaded onto your Seapass) in any bar between 5 pm - 8pm. Of course there are limitations as to what drinks you could order. When is first (main) dining? Does Vintages offer any bottle of wine specials? Last week on Navigator, Vintages had bottle of wine daily specials listed on a chalkboard. Some very good deals. Anything like that on Indy? Is there an overflow lounge for either the CL or the DL? Any comments on Giovanni's menu and food? Is caviar served at the Champagne bar with drink purchase at 5-7 PM? -
On the Nov 15th sailing the formal nights were the 2nd and 7th nightsI hope someone will post the menus soon. also what nights are the formal nights? -
Sleep InnWhat hotels offer, complimentary breakfast and air port and cruise shuttles? I am also looking for something with basic shopping within walking distance so we can pick up pop and wine before the cruise.Thank you,

This is the place. We like the mexican restaurant better but both are fine !Thank you! If it's near the Publix I am thinking about, there is a GREAT Italian restaurant there. We ate there. The food was great, the portions HUGE. Well worth it!!! :D -
Sleep Inn Dania Fl should be under $150. Has both air and cruise port shuttles, restaurant across street, as well as a Publix supermarket. In addition there is a Walgreens next door.Hello. We will be cruising out of Port Everglades. We are looking for a hotel that has: free shuttle from airport and to the port (or shuttle to the port for $5 or less per person). free breakfast. Clean, under $150 a night.Do you know of any? Also needs to be within walking distance to stores and restaurants.
Thank you

royalcruz- Can u tell me what the area around the Crowne Plaza on St. Rd. 84 is like? We will have our car and could drive to restaurants. We will be getting to Ft. Laud either late afternoon or early evening. We are really just looking for an updated' date=' clean hotel which we can find for a decent price on a Fri. nite prior to our cruise. We will have our 2 kids with us and I'm not familiar with the area by this hotel. Is Dania beach a better choice? Any info you could give me is extremely appreciated.[/quote'] FYI We stayed here just 2 weeks ago and found the hotel to be very clean.

We stayed here on April 27th prior to cruise out of Miami. The Hotel was ok, appears to be going under some renovation. To get from hotel to POM we used MJS shuttle which worked out great for us.
