  1. We are going on Viking Homelands cruise this summer and leave on July 1.  I have a few question and would appreciate any help.

    1.  What is the weather like for most of the trip?  Trying to decided what to pack as far as clothes.

    2. Is it somewhat like an Alaskan cruise?  As far as daylight and weather.

    3. What are some must see and do on the ship?

4 What are some must see and do at each port?

    Thanks for any help.

Don't forget Gelato is include for Royal suites too.

Don't for get to start with the eggs benedict and a bloody mary for beakfast in your room too

That sound great.  Thanks for the information

We were in Sicily in March. We took our BINAXNow kits and used them before the tour and before our flight to the US. The only issue is the hotel must have good internet. Fortunately, our hotels did and the App made it easy to prove we were negative. Most of the other tour members made a reservation at a nearby pharmacy and took the antigen test. It took 15 minutes and was only 15 Euros. The hotel can help you make an appointment. Other friends had needed a test in Spain and it was 30 Euros per person.

Was the internet goof enough on the ship?

I know for us, they are willing to sell us one once we get off the ship, but that would really be too late for us because we have a noon flight. We are bringing our own test and will try to use it either the day before disembarkation or when we are close enough that we have cellular service.

The good thing is our flight isn't until 11:30pm 😮

  5. Is Celebrity still doing the post cruise Covid tests to get back into USA?  When we were on a cruise last summer they tested everyone the last 2 days.  We are doing a Alaskan cruise this summer and ends up in Vancouver and fly home from there.  Thanks for any information

  6. I checked on MVJ today to see if anything changed and saw this now on the Viking Pre-departure Information -

If you are traveling independently, please ensure you review local requirements for the countries you are visiting. You will also need to meet Viking’s COVID-19 testing requirements: either a PCR test taken 72 hours, or an antigen test taken 24 hours before joining your first Viking activity. Alternatively, you may present proof of recovery as outlined below.

I guess now we will have to take a test in Athens.  At least now we can do a home test with a lab report.
