  1. Mate, you are scaring me now. ;)

It seems that for a party of 6 ,a private tour and bus will be a better option.

Just a couple of questions I need clarrified. - Does this $7 bus ride is for a day or one single trip? The $50-$70 taxi per hr fare is negotaible ior written in stone. What if I hire the cab as a private tour guide for a private tour - will this still fall under government rates?

Any recommendations on private tour operaters who have price listed or can be contactable. Rickeys tour has no pricing. Any other private tour operators whom I can get in touch with who have been well spoken for.

Also, how do I get access to internet/wifi while we are docked. Will need access to intenet a couple of time a day. Is there a wifi hot spot access I can purchase or places which provide free wifi??

  2. Awesome- Kids are 14 & 10.

Would spend one day sightseeing and seeing what Bermuda is and the other 2 days may revisit a spot we might like.

These blue cabs prices are they negotiable? How reliable are the non blue cab tour operators.

As for scooters and motorcycle-any recommended places- might just take it for a day and go on a ride with my spouse?

  3. Booked a last minute cruise to Bermuda yesterday leaving on July 14 from Boston for 8 days/7 nights. Other then me and my spouse there will be 2 kids and 2 seniors with us on this trip.

Need assistance and expertise from my peers who have been on this trip prior about various parking options at Boston cruise terminal - found 2 close by at 24/day and $19/day. ANy other options even with a night stay with shuttle service is good.

Secondly once we reach Bermuda what are the pricing of various excursions we are looking at. Are private tours from the port itself are recommended or should we book through the cruise ship.

Renting scooters or bicycles for kids and us receommended or shoud we stick to group trours.

Any additional guidance and recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

  4. thanks for the link. Just had to google it and it popped up. Seems like i will be spending close to $90 for the trip to Megans Bay including the entry fee. If I hire a private cab to take me around for a few hrs how much am I expecting to pay??

  5. This will be our first cruise and first time at this port so a little apprehensive. Have researched the forum and will stick to Magens Bay as soon as we disembark from the ship. Any idea how much will it cost for 2 adults and 2 kids to get there? From there we plan to take a cab to Charlotte Amalie and walk around there and then head back to the ship. It will be greatly appreciated if someone can please advice how much will it cost our family of 4 in transportion to the beach , town and back to the ship. Thank you.

  6. Thank you so much for all your advice and expertise. Seems like I will stick to LeGallion Beach and then walk around Phillipsburg downtown. Can anyone please advice how much will it cost us to get to LeGallion Beach from the port per person and from there to Phillipsburg and from there back to the port. Thanks once again.

  7. Have never cruised before and this will be our first attempt. St. Maarten is on of the ports where our ship the Freedom of the Seas will stop next month. As we would like to explore the island by ourselves rather then booking any excursions, can someone please recommend some stuff which we can do by ourselves (2 adults & 2 kids) and which won't cost much $$$. Just do not want the ship to leave the port. Is renting a car advisable or taking local transportation advisable?

  8. This will be our first stop next month on the Freedom of the seas. We do not plan to spend on activities that are advertised on the ship as we will be spending 3 days at Universal post the cruise and were wondering if we should go to the beach or not. Are there anything else we can enjoy on our own at this port rather than spending some beach time. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Cheers.
