I am doubting that it will be cancelled all together, but I would accept a B2B. Joking in that, Owen would not want to miss any school. All 12 year old boys are like that.
Would love to give you a B2B, but maybe next time 😊 Safe travels! Please bring her back Sunday if at all safe to do so.

Sailing 9/1 on Harmony hopefully and at this point have no clue what is going to happen. Looks like everything from storm goes more east and north and Harmony could get in and out ahead of it Sunday, to possible delay and then the sad reality of possible cancel all together. Hoping for any updates soon.

Hi! We hope to sail on Harmony Sunday. They are saying an update is being played onboard Harmony and all Caribbean ships in the cabins on the TV with updates on Dorian. Would you mind please sharing what it is and any updates they give you. Safe travels! Thanks!

I am enjoying your trip report as usual and watching closely as my ship makes it back to port this weekend so i can take my cruise with her 😉
Same for us 😊! We also hope to sail on her Sunday! I did want to ask though - They are saying an update is being played onboard Harmony and all Caribbean ships in the cabins on the TV with updates on Dorian. Would you mind please sharing what it is and any updates they give you. Safe travels! Thanks!

Following along, we are (fingers crossed) sailing on Harmony a week from today. We sailed on Liberty the week after Harvey hit and it was anxiety at its highest until we walked on the ship. We did not know from one minute to the next if it was really going to happen. But we made it and it was an amazing cruise so I’m hopeful! Safe sailings!

Hello, we booked with King David’s Tours for the zoo and Howler monkey excursion. Has anyone done this before? I was a little worried because it’s a 5.5 hour tour and I know it’s a long tender ride from the ship. We will of course do all we can to be first off the ship. Anyone done this tour or used King David’s Tours before?

it will be just my daughter and I on this cruise and we want to go to the zoo. Any suggestions on ways to get there? We could book a cruise excursion or had anyone used a local company? Thanks!!

We are looking for a hotel near Houston Hobby that has a shuttle of their own from the airport to their hotel and then will take you to the port and then pick you back up from the port and return you to the airport? Thanks!

Just checked in for our SWA flights to Dallas tomorrow. early morning, checked I-45 again this morning and all looks good, Liberty is almost docked in Galveston and our hotel in Galveston is open for business. Only concern left is the gas shortage in Dallas which I will tackle when I get there. I cannot wait to meet all of you...we have all truly bonded over this experience!

I tried to get on multiple flights from Phoenix to Houston over the weekend to go out on liberty of the seas and all my flights were canceled. Ended up flying in Saturday morning to Dallas, renting a car, and driving down to the port. Anyone from Texas have any recommendations on freeways to take that maybe less flooded to get from Dallas to Galveston? Thanks for the help!

My 7:15 AM Phoenix to Houston flight on Southwest was canceled today. I spent two hours on the phone with an amazing person from Southwest who helped me out. And with a smile at that! He booked me on a flight that now gets in Saturday at 5 PM and was very confident that flight would not get changed as Southwest has been told they have the greenlight for all flights into Houston Hobby after 12 PM this Saturday. Just in case we booked a flight to Dallas for earlier in the day. I have to say that it really felt like someone cared! It also looks like royal Caribbean will definitely be there on Sunday as they have definitely told us if we don't get to the port we get no refund. They've been very quick to point out that the roads and the airports appear like they're going to be open. They were also nice enough to post that there will be no more rain. In other words get to the port or we are sailing without you…I wish Royal Caribbean was just nice to me when I called them as that gentleman tonight was at Southwest.

Advice please..
We are scheduled on Royal Caribbean this Sunday out of Galveston. I was just contacted by Southwest Airlines wanting me to change my flights to either Dallas or San Antonio. They are not I repeat not saying that the Houston airport will not be open on Saturday they are just saying that due to flight delays it would be easier. I'm not opposed to driving the extra amount of time to get there I just want somebody who's there to tell me if it's even going to be possible to Galveston? I know nobody knows for sure, just looking for some guidance pleases Royal Caribbean has pretty much told me unless I do everything I can to try to get there I'll get no refund if the ship does not sail.

You'll know more by Thursday. The port should be okay by next weekend, it's more a matter of whether or not people can get there safely. We have to wait and see when the rain stops, and how high the rivers and bayous crest and when they start to recede.
I hope - for your sake and ours! - that the water has gone down enough that it will be safe for you to travel.
Thank you! Sending prayers your way.. I was also thinking it may cause more trouble if all these cruise passengers head to an area that is already struggling. RCI will only say that next weeks cruise will not change and will sail.

We are planned to sail on LOS September 3rd and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on if we should plan to cancel? This is all so heart breaking to watch unfold. I also do not want 4,000 cruise passengers heading in next week to complicate things for an already devastated place.

I feel so guilty for sitting here in my comfy home worrying if I will go on a cruise in a week when so many are in a life threatening situation. From everything I have read it looks like it will still be a mess there next weekend, but cruises should go out of Galveston like normal. I had a friend that cruised out of Galveston the week after Ike so she has assured me that we will be leaving next week. Any thoughts? Again if RCI cancelled and donated all the food and supplies to those in Texas I would be satisfied, but it would just be nice to have some idea.
-
My heart, prayers and hope goes out to those effected in Texas. We are also planned to sail September 3rd and I am only hoping RCI will give us more notice than they did those poor people who fought hard to get to Galveston for the cruise that was to leave today. Only time will tell.
-
We are on LOS Sept 3rd and we would happily give our food and supplies to those in Texas who have been effected by this storm. That being said, I did speak with RCI this morning and they said there will absolutely be no changes to the next sailing and that unless we had travel insurance there would be no refunds or credits for the next sailing only this one that's supposed to leave today. Those in Galveston and Houston any thoughts on Houston Hobby even being open for flights in a week? Will we be able to get in and out of Galveston and will the port be open? I know it's just a guess as nobody will know for sure. Thanks all and may everyone be safe.
