Thanks for the response. I booked this cruise back in February of this year. I dont remember when the rules changed but maybe it's for this specific cruise. It's the second leg on our b2b on navigator in December.

I'm a little confused about final payment for an upcoming cruise. I looked on the RC website and it clearly states that 5 day or longer cruises is due 90 days prior to departure. I have a 5 day cruise booked but the final payment is actually due 75 days prior when I click "make a payment" on the website and enter in all my info. Is there a new policy and they just havnt updated their website?

You really can't go into the ship and compare it to an oasis class ship. That will be your first mistake and will ruin your cruise. You have to look at this as a whole new experience.

We were just forward of the hump on liberty and loved it. It seemed that part of the ship really broke the waves and the sound was incredible.

Last cruise on liberty we go charged for all of our drinks on the first day. Was kind of annoying explaining to guest services that we had the deluxe package and shouldn't be charged for them. They really did question every single one of them. Bought the package precruise as well. Same thing happened on oasis the last night to the tune of $35.

I worried my tail off for the same issue. Truth be told they didn't even look at the letters. Neither did CBP on the way back in. They looked at the kids and said something to the effect of "who is this person to you". Take the letters and the docs. Also if they are 17 or older they need a state issued ID card.

Same with us. We were on liberty a couple years ago and the beds were fine. This last cruise it was hard as a rock. Our room attendant said they get a lot of complaints and there's not much they can do about it. Seems like a nice bed would be standard on a cruise ship. I've slept in cots more comfortable.Hmmmm.....sounds like I'll be ordering the inflatable mattress topper to take with me for sure. We'll be on Liberty again in 2 months. I don't recall the beds being as bad as recently described when we sailed in 2016. Too bad they've changed. I agree - RCCL used to be much better than it is now. Don't get me wrong - we still enjoy sailing with them, but they no longer have that something "extra" as before IMHO. I appreciate the input on this thread. Happy sailing to all of you!Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

This was the view from liberty last Jan. They filled up three of these. The bed was horrible and there seemed to be a gap in the middle of the bed that we kept falling into.

I've never seen anything cheaper to book on the ship than before the cruise. $199 is a good price. We left oasis with 210 pictures of us and the kids.

In st Thomas we did the fast cat 2 snorkel and beach break. The crew was good but the boat was crowded because it was an oasis class ship in port. Nearly 225 people jammed shoulder to shoulder. There were a bunch of other sailboat catamarans which I wish we were on instead. I got kicked in the face by some kid 15 minutes into it and was done. Sat on the boat and drank free rum punch afterwords.
They all stopped at honeymoon beach and there was a little grill to buy lunch at. Cash only. Best fish tacos I've ever had.

Not that we found. It was a bit of a walk towards the back and the art elevators were very full during the early evening. Are there stairs in the aft of the ship?Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I did a BW balcony on Oasis and never again! Some will disagree with me but I fouund the outside noise horrible. Every afternoon was aqua theater practice and the bell on the carousel ringing. Uggh
Oasis has very few ocean view spots as compared to a liberty or voyager class ship. Get the ocean view. I never want to hear that stupid whale song ever again.

I've never paid an upcharge with the drink package. It's usually for the REALLY expensive stuff. I like the single barrel bourbons, grey goose vodka, and patron. My GF was even drinking remi Martin without an upcharge. Not saying it doesn't happen but hasn't happened to me in 6 cruises.

Right now in my CP:What is the price of the Cabana right now? I have found booking Cabana's well in advance has usually saved me a good amount of money.Nellies OTW $579
Columbus cove beach bungalow $263
Nellies beach cabana $395
Based on some reviews we are leaning towards the last one.

How quick if ever do these sell out? I'm doing my budget for the year And wondering when I should put this in it. It's an early December cruise. (Navigator Dec 7th) I'm not sure how many other ships will be in port, is there a way to find that out?
Right now I have projected excursion expenses in April.
Its our first time in labadee. Thanks in advance.

Our room attendant was cool and let us stay in our rooms. At about noon they really wanted people in public areas.Oh, also. If we get stuck on the ship prior to d-bark, can we stay in our rooms? We're traveling with a few little ones. Waiting in a public place for 6 hours would be my personal hell (said like the best mother ever).Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Thank you all. This is a big deal to us. Next is learning how to best go in and out of Miami and finding things to do in the ABC.

good to know! Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with drycleaning or ships laundry? I did the press and dry clean option on our last cruise and had no issues but would like to have tshirts and undergarments laundered on ship.

Just booked our first B2B on navigator for December. Soooooooo excited!
Quick question...if I got the same room for both legs do we have to packbour luggage in between? Also is their only one formal night on a five day cruise? (Doing a 9 night ABC and then a 5 night)
Any other B2B advice is appreciated.

I still didn't get my platinum lapel pin [emoji848]They probably took a look at your cruise history and figured that wouldn't be terribly difficult to do. ;)Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

So I was on the liberty last week and pre-ordered the romance package for Valentine's day which also happens to be our anniversary. I specifically told them that we would be back after 4:30. It was supposed to be a surprise for my girl as she wasn't expecting it. We would then watch sail away from our balcony sipping champagne and eating chocolate covered strawberries from our balcony. R O M A N T I C! 5pm rolls around and our room is beautifully decorated by our stateroom attendant but no champagne or strawberries. 5:30 I call down to guest services and they say to call room service. I call room service and they say if I want to order that it'll be about an hour wait. I say I already ordered it, I should have been there. 7pm rolls around and they finally deliver and I'm not happy because now it's time to shower and get ready for dinner...Not very romantic.
Ok long story short I complained again and royal refunded me the cost of the package. I'm actually surprised I didnt have to fight harder.
Even funnier is the next day they sent up an apology card with fruit platter, deserts and more chocolate covered strawberries. However the card said something to the effect of sorry you had problems at breakfast lol.
Anyway might just stick around with Royal.

Wow, so your insurance was through RCI I'm pretty sure they only do compensation if you booked your flights through them. Begs the question if you had third party insurance through USAA perhaps, would they cover it....sucks either way!here was their email.."Thank you for contacting Royal Caribbean Internationalabout your sailing on the Liberty of the Seas. As a Platinum member of ourCrown & Anchor Society, you’re important to us.
I'm so sorry for any disappointments caused in the delayto the port. At this time we aren't offering any compensation to any of ourguests that were affected for this. If our corporate office make any changes tothis an email will be sent out to all guests on this sailing with the details.
Regarding coverage with our Royal Caribbean TravelProtection. I don't believe they cover delays. If you would like to contactthem so they may answer this question directly for you, their number is 1-800-453-4022.
We realize you have many vacation options and thank youfor choosing Royal Caribbean International. We hope we’re able to welcome youback on one of our innovative ships in the future.
Warm regards,"

Just curious, wouldn't cruise insurance cover your fees or no?

It's only $1k but it's my habit not to give people money until its due. Plus I'll be using a CC and that's extra interest.
