I booked last minute last Monday for and we leave Next Monday...1st time doing the guaranteed balcony...Kept checking and it was on the website yesterday

Booked last Monday....leaving next Monday....got a gty balcony...My DH and I not concerned where...just soooo curious.....this will be my 18th cruise and the excitement never gets old....especially since we woke up to about 6 inches of snow last night lol the anticipation is driving me nuts

We loved that show!! Had so much fun reliving that era lol

I called NCL a few days ago to ask about bringing on wine and to inquire about the Drink packages, we decided not to do it but she informed me that if we change our minds we could purchase it when we get on board...and we are sailing in a week on the Gem. Most ships when you first get on there is staff with tables set up...We go out of Manhatten and there are tables sometimes set up right in the terminal so you can purchase them even before getting on the ship.

So we leave in 9 days on the Gem...I booked late ( a week ago ) ...how soon before do you find out what cabin you get lol....This will be my 18th cruise....never did this option before :) and if anyone else did this....whats the best room you got??? lol

I've been to both...and I just prefer steak meals anyway...and Cagney's was great!! so theres my vote :)

we leave April 11 on the gem and get back on the 21st...and it is on the "roll call" portion of this website

Thank you everyone! I think will end up bringing a couple of $5-7 ones from home. We drive down as we are only a little over 2 hours from the terminal and we have a friend drive us down. We booked too late to get the drink package included and its not worth the 1400 (ive already called and asked :( ). a bottle of wine and a can of sprite makes for many spritzers lol

I'll be on the Gem soon. And as I'm doing research....not really sure it's worth going through the hassle of bringing wine from home if your going to be charged a corkage fee...especially if you are bringing wine that has a twist top. It would end of being 25-30 a bottle. Can you purchase wine on board for 30 a bottle and take it back to the cabin with you if you don't finish it at dinner?

....before we board the Norwegian Gem (3rd time on the Gem, 5th on NCL and 17th overall). I can't wait....my DH and I celebrating our 5th anniversary, we got married on Megan's Bay in 2011!! ;)

What is everyones favorite beaches on St. Maarten and Tortola?? We cruise every year...and always go to the same stops. We like calm bay like waters...nothing to crazy. Clean calm and a bar is our speed :)

We are sailing on the Gem soon....It was a last minute decision so we missed the cut off for the deals they gave. Did anyone use this package and how much was it. It says 695 but is that for 2 people or is it 1400 for 2 people?

We are sailing on the Gem in less than two weeks....this will be my 3 time on the Gem and love it. We don't do the haven because it's too quiet for us, but if that's what you in to, it is very pretty up there. But you will have a great time regardless.

and we leave april 11th.....we have the ship picking our rooms..however I did the online check in...but didn't print out the luggage tags because we have no cabin # yet. We cruise once a year but I have never booked a cruise so close to leaving so I've never had this situation. lol :cool:
