  1. My apologies if this has been recently asked and answered.

I recall reading various post in this forum speculating as to whether cans of coke and other sodas were now included in the Plus fare/package or whether these packages were limited to sodas from the 'gun'.

I do not recall seeing any definitive answer in these discussions. Is the issue now settled? Are canned sodas included in the Plus package?

Exactly, I dont really know what is reasonable although it seems like it is. Its off to Las Vegas after the cruise so a few pennys might help in the slots 😀

Some UK agents offer packages that include international and domestic flights and 'stays' in either Las Vegas, Los Angeles or San Francisco. These packages can offer good value for money.

  3. Typically for cruises booked in the UK, the deposit is non-refundable so the option to cancel and rebook at the lower fare is generally not available to us. So the OP is wise to ensure the deal they are booking is the right one for them.

  4. I've seen mention that some bar tenders at Vines are willing to provide a bottle of wine between say two people and treat it as a fixed number (5 or 6)  of drinks against the Plus package. Is this commonly available in Vines or is it only a small number of  bar tenders that are happy to do this? The advantage that I see to doing this would be being able to take the part drunk bottle of wine into the restaurant for dinner. I would be interested to here any experiences of this. Thanks.

Without wanting to start another debate on the pros and cons of the Plus and Premier packages, I would be really interested to know what percentage of passengers take up either of the packages.

It seems this thread is going in the very direction I hoped it would not. Perhaps we should bring it to a close.

I don't suppose there are any official figures available, perhaps we could take a poll of CC Princess board contributors. Or someone might have a 'feel' for the numbers.

I believe Salty Dog Gastropub as well is one (we are going on the Crown for the first time soon as well). I don't think the Crown has an Alfredo's like Royal does.

Thank you SuzieQ. I had forgotten about the Salty Dog Gastro Pub. I've seen their menu but not one for Vines

    Thanks again.

  8. Hi  We'll be in Kona for one day in January and are considering spending part of the day at Kona Keiki Beach/Queen's Bath. It appears to be within an easy walk of the tender pier. It is a public beach but is surrounded by a gated community. I would be interested to know the best/easiest/safest way to access this beach from the Kailua Pier.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

  9. I'm currently considering a 14 day Alaskan cruise, in September, from Vancouver to Whittier/College Fjords and return to Vancouver with stops in Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway. I will have a limited budget for excursions but would like to do one or two. I would be particularly interested in viewing the wildlife of Alaska.

I would be most grateful for any suggestions on excursions (either self-organized or packaged) that you would regard as 'must do'.

    Thank you

  10. Hi, We will be visiting Kona in January 2024. I was hoping to hire a car for the day and see a little of the island. There appears, from Google searches and other replies to similar questions, to be car rental outlets within waling distance of Kailua Pier (Enterprise, Dollar etc) but when you go to their websites this location is either not recognised or shown as 'sold out'. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how/where to rent a car near the Kona tender pier?

Thanks for any recommendations or suggestions

  11. The option to reserve tables for dinner on our cruise on the Crown early next year has just become available to me. If I choose the option to 'Reserve for the same time each day' can I subsequently change these times ( subject of course to availability) when on board if for example we decide we want to eat earlier or later or want to go to one of the speciality restaurants?

Thanks in advance for any information you can offer.

  12. We have the £50 (yes UK pounds) Plus package included for our January 2024 cruise (bought in May of this year). Is there an onboard option to upgrade this to the Premium package for the difference in the cost of the two packages? The only option that is presented in the Personalizer is to buy the Premium package at £60 per day. Thanks in advance for any information you can offer.

  13. In the middle of June this year  I booked a Princess Plus fare for a Hawaii Cruise early next year. The booking confirmation confirms the items included in the Plus package (drinks, fitness classes, premium desserts etc). It does not show the recently introduced Plus features (2x Casual Dining, Room Service etc) .

Does anyone now whether these 'old' Plus fares will include the new features or will they remain as they were at the time of booking.

Thanks for any information you can offer

We’ve. It found it to be open during the daytime.  This was a while ago but they seem to open up shortly before the Platinum, Elite and Suite event .. so around 4:30 PM.

The closest be would be at one of the midship pools or inside the buffet.  The aft pool bar is only open occasionally.  I believe Adagios also only opens for the evening.
We’ve gone up to Skywalkers and ordered drinks via the app a couple of times during the day.  It took a while for the delivery but they did get there.

Thank you. I had forgotten about the medallion app, that sounds like a great way to get a drink in Skywalkers. When you say 'a while for the delivery' about how long would you estimate?

Thanks again for your quick response
