  1. On the day and time you can sign up for your excursions sign up for certain meet and greets that are very popular and they need a free ticket advance registration.  For the Wonder they were Frozen meet and greet (Anna and Elsa) and Princess Gathering (a group of three or four princesses that vary).  Also depending on your length of cruise there may be a free Disney Junior breakfast that you sign up for to be able to attend - which is fun.  For most of the character greetings you find the place and time in the daily schedule (Navigator) Download the DCL app!  It has a cute countdown clock and tells you when you are on the ship the daily schedule of fun things to do.  They will probably love the kids club - on the first day everyone can tour it - its really cute to look at.  On Disney the entertainment is amazing - don't miss the shows - currently they have Frozen and other Broadway caliber shows on the Wonder.  Have a wonderful time - I love Disney Cruise Line and have sailed on three other cruise lines but for me - when we are with our grandchildren Disney is the best!

  2. I would call DCL to ask them.  I know that when I made my reservation I asked that the balcony dividers be removable and they told me they were for the verandah on the right side but not the left side.  On the Fantasy we did have verandahs that adjoined and we were able to remove the dividers.  It just depends on the rooms.

  3. First time NCL cruiser. We have a mid inside cabin on 14 day Panama Canal cruise on the Star.  I have enjoyed every cabin cruised in on 4 cruises - one aft balcony cabin did vibrate from engines a lot and it was bothersome but still had a great cruise.  We just got an offer to upgrade to a balcony for 75$ pp. We have no issues with sea sickness.  Is it 'worth' losing midship location for any balcony we could be assigned?  I know a balcony is better than inside but I really appreciate your thoughts on any insight you can give us- and tips on what would be a winning bid? My research shows a lot of open mid ship balconies ( which I know I might not get) -thanks so much!

  4. We are sailing in 5 days on the Star and we have 2 very disappointed boys aged 6 and 9 as we have just been informed the water slides have been removed!!

I understand! When my grandchildren saw a picture of the ship- the first thing they noticed was the slides! I had to tell them that the slides are gone- they are age 11, 8 & 6.

  5. I was on the July 9th cruise Baltic Serenade of the Seas and I heard the captain (who was amazing and seemed to be everywhere) say (as we were eating outside of the buffet) it was the warmest day on the Baltic this whole summer. We had beautiful weather. Sunny and in the high 60's. Only had rain for two hours one day in St. Petersburg. Our sea day was warm and sunny! That being said every port the tour guide said it had poured rain the day before. On a separate tour of Norway they said they had had 29 days of rain in a row (broke the previous record of 27 days of rain in a row) and ours was the first sunny day!

  6. I went on this cruise July 2016. We were lucky and didn't miss any ports. Ships seem to miss ports due to weather, dock strikes and engine issues. Two cruises ahead of me missed Le Havre due to port strike. The cruise after mine missed one due to engine troubles and one due to weather. I loved this cruise and plan on going on it again- someday! I was on the Caribbean Princess- read reviews to get a feel for what ports get missed- for example Guernsey gets missed for weather quite often.

  7. Hello! This is our first cruise and we have a question - When we were filling out all the information on the Princess website they asked if we want a bathrobe in our room. Does this cost money? Do we just use the bathrobe and keep in in the closet when the cruise is done? I have read so many things about cruises lately but am not sure on this one. We are going on a British Isle cruise so a bathrobe might come in handy as it may be chilly but I do not want to pack a bathrobe! Thanks in advance!
