Tasty Garden (SoCal chain serving Hong Kong-style comfort food-including some "North American" and "European" dishes.). A lot of the locations are open past ten. (The location at Atlantic Times Square in Monterey Park is open until 4AM FYI LA-area vampires.)
Or ramen.

I didn't intend to mislead you. I am not on the 05/03 Ruby Cruise.
No misunderstanding at all. I just think what you do on a cruise with a portable scanner is awesome! I understood that you were not on that specific cruise.

I think I've been spoiled by my time on Cunard (and Disney). Hopefully this doesn't ruin my upcoming cruise on Princess. Haven't tried Celebrity yet.

Call me crazy but I actually bring a portable scanner on board to scan the Patters and other paperwork. Less stuff to bring home. I don't typically post Patters while on board but I could.
That's awesome!

Too soon to expect for Patter copy. Reviews/Live Update maybe.
I don't have an iPhone but it's totally possible! I don't know if other phones have a similar app.

Pretty please, with a cherry on top. I just know some people love to interrupt their own vacations to provide others info...

I myself would personally choose not to wear the same thing to dinner and the next day. Idkw
it makes me....choosing not to expand on it so not to offend. I would however repeat an outfit at least 30 hours later. Therefore, I would not repeat outfits on getaway cruises but would on >5 day cruises.

I like posing for pictures and I don't like wearing the same thing in every picture.

Very cute. Love the black one! Wish I still had young legs and could wear
short dresses....thank goodness maxis are in these days LoL
I bought the black one for a wedding that I ended up not attending last year. I also packed it on a trip to Japan last fall but my travel companion and I ended up going casual for every dinner. So hopefully, I'll finally get to wear it this time!
I'm short, so I only own one maxi dress...which had to be hemmed even with 4-inch wedges on.

I prefer traveling with someone who likes taking pictures...of me. Meaning multiple pictures with the same background in case the first picture ended up goofy. Selfies and selfie stick pictures just don't cut it for me. And I need pictures from head to toe-especially in the evening. One of the reasons I cruise is to dress up.
But cruising solo is enjoyable.

I cruised Cunard the first time when I was 35, don't consider myself that well off, and am from California. I chose Cunard due to the availability of a Southeast Asian cruise (Princess was sold out because I starting browsing too late). I ended up thoroughly enjoying my Cunard experience. Disclaimers: I didn't go to any of the evening shows and only attended one seminar. However I did:
-Check out a library book from their gorgeous library
-Have afternoon tea
-Watch a distinctly British film
-And enjoy the string quintet
If enjoying literature, classical music, afternoon tea, and British cinema makes me a snob, then I'm a snob. Only been on two other cruise lines and the food on Cunard is about equal to Disney(my favorite cruise). Plus I didn't even pack an evening gown. One night I wore a dressy blouse paired with a nice black skirt to dinner. Did not notice any judgmental looks for my dinner wardrobe.

Booked a cruise on the Coral Princess, so this was useful.

I'll start:
Dark Places by Gillian Flynn (from the Queen Elizabeth library)

On my first cruise I packed just one carry-on and a standard-sized backpack. My second cruise was a Disney cruise. I packed two standard-sized pieces of luggage+ and ended up not wearing 1/3rd of what I packed. I also took the most pictures while on the Disney cruise.

But I don't think there are any Daiso stores outside of California, Washington (your home state), and Texas. I think they sell straw hats for $2 each. But then you'd have to pack the hat instead of buying it before boarding the ship.

I use:
-10x3 inch strips of bubble wrap
-Vertical snack-sized zip-lock bags (from CVS)
-4x4x2 inch hard plastic container
I keep the bubble wrap which my costume jewelry comes in when I shop online and cut it into strips. I wrap the chain around the bubble wrap once along its width and then fold over a 2 inch section the bubble wrap. Then I repeat until the bubble wrap containing the necklace is about 2x3 inches in size. I stick the folded bubble wrap in the snack-sized zip-lock bag.
Since the plastic container I use is so small, I then fold the zip-lock bag in half (possible because of the vertical orientation of the bags I use) before placing it in the plastic container. I can stack 2-3 thin chain necklaces this way. I then stick the plastic container in one of my make-up bags or evening clutch (if I'm packing one). Voila! No tangles.

Four "smart casual" nights. Whatever that means. I'm only going to dress up for three of the four nights.
Have not decided on third dinner outfit yet. -
Dessert. I rarely eat it on land unless I stop by a bakery or froyo place.

Horrid. I'm glad I have not seen this yet.
What was the nicest thing a crew member did for you?
