  1. I have similar questions. We are taking my son and his cousin on a cruise this Summer. We have all got our passport cards taken care of, but what is this letter everyone is talking about? It makes sense to have something like that, just need to know what it is supposed to say. And what about waivers for the zip line, Flo-rider, etc. is that a separate thing or should it be mentioned in letter that he has permission to do those things. Thanks!

  2. Excursions are charged to your CC as soon as you book them, so final payment is not a factor.

I would book anything you really want early, and everything else closer to your sail date.

I'm brand new to this. We are booked on Allure at the end of July and I don't even know how to go about finding what shore excursions are available. Any help would be appreciated :)

  3. First of all, I'm really sad that you chose to word your comments this way. There are other, more polite ways to put things. :( Secondly, if you take a longer RCI cruise, or perhaps a Canada/New England cruise, you will absolutely find more of an older clientele on these cruises. Many of the passengers are retired and can afford to cruise, both financially, and time-wise.

As stated, though, Royal caters to all age groups on every ship. On Oasis, we saw 2 year olds and 92 year olds.

I agree. Probably wouldn't have worded it like that. Remember everyone... we will ALL be there someday :)

  4. So, July 24th will be my family's first cruise and we will be onboard the Allure. We will have two teenage boys (15) and am debating getting the soda (or whatever it's called) package. How does it work? Do they have to carry a bottle around with them to use the machines? Does anyone know the price of just the soda package? Thanks in advance--told you I'm new to all of this :)
