Any idea what a taxi would cost from Canada Place to YVR? On a Tuesday mid-morning? Are Uber or Lyft in Vancouver yet?
many thanks!
The Skytrain is so easy...walk from Canada place to waterfront station which takes you directly to YVR .

we found a BeeLeHavre bus that would take you to Honfleur for 25Euro. there r 2 different times...11:45 am to return 4pm,
and 1:45pm to return at 6pm. giving you about 2+hrs in Honfleur.
Hoping to catch that at Perret Square.

We are staying at the Hyatt Heathrow, does the local bus(what number) gets us there?
And how much is this bus vs the Hoppa?

On Princess, there is also the Loyalty OMC. It is $25 to $100 per cabin
This May we'll be on our 18th cruise with Princess, and we've never noticed any Loyalty OBC.
How many cruises before they start giving it??

It's possible to order before the cruise a case of water(12) to be delivered to your cabin...$7 I think, not sparkling but the 1/2 litre bottle they try to sell you as you go on shore. We always order a case for a longer cruise, instead of going upstairs to get water.
Asian cruises have tea pots in cabin n is nice to have...even in inside cabins on the Diamond.

We stopped going to those Princess Captain's reception...it's always at the most inconvenient times, n we don't care for their drinks. Holland America has a proper luncheon for repeat cruisers, n we got a delft tile with the ship on it.
we did have a friend who won elite status for the duration of the cruise...which we've never heard of before. So they got laundry done, n the few sample bottles of liquor, n mini bar set up.

We were on the Regal with ***** ready cabin, but not quite functioning...yet the blinking light coming from the back of the TV was Very annoying, n had to ask the steward to tape n cover the light!

We have done St P twice...same time /week of May, n same ship. We used Alla 2016...small group, small van --easier to navigate onto smaller streets & therefore dropped us off closer than big bus can.
Weather was rainy, n for whatever reason, despite so call timed entrance for the Hermitage, we stood in the rain w/ thousands of others for 45 minutes.
Guide didn't even look back to see if all 13 of us were going behind her. Promptly lost 1 person. ..at the first stop of St Catherine's palace with thousands of groups. She didn't wear anything
colorful or had a flag to spot her easily.
Must be an off day for her, coz a friend used her & loved her knowledge. BUT she was on a private tour of 4.
2017, we used SPB...
apparently a very big outfit with their own huge store. Weather was perfect, went straight into the Hermitage, and lunches were good. No complaints. Also
there was a new freeway in preparation of hosting the World soccer, n traffic was a breeze. St Catherine's palace/fountains had lots less people this round....
maybe coz of recent bombing in subway?? We went down to the deepest subway station as 2016, but didn't take the subway. Saw the art work n came back up right away!!
So we never felt that having done the cruise automatically write that itinerary off our list. Same exact cruise can be so different, depending on weather, n time of year.
Through signing up with roll call, we got a very good price. $240 for 2 days...May '17.
These 2 companies will match prices. They all cater to cruises, n they know exactly what they are doing. Itineraries are almost the same.

from reading other posts, they recommend 3 hrs before flight for checking in n doing all the security...
so that really cuts into the transportation time between Southampton n Heathrow.
If you book transfer from Princess, n booked air from Princess....I think they should know when they'll disembark you.
of course, 3/4 people is cheapest on private transfer. We wanted to do taxi, but Princess scared us saying how long the lines would be, so we bought transfer from them.

It maybe too late for tulips?? 1 year driving up from Seattle to Vancouver, we hit some tulips fields...no need to go to Holland.

We seldom go to those idiotic Captain's reception, coz I don't drink. And timing is always bad. BUT a friend went, n I've never heard of her prize: being bumped to Elite status w/ mini bar set up n free laundry!! for the remaining days on board.
Anyone else heard of this Prize??
New way for requesting Carnival shareholder obc now?
