We are hoping for great weather but we will pack clothing for rain and cold too.

We may even miss dinners in the dining room on this cruise if the weather is nice sailing out of the fjords!

We are visiting London for a few days before the cruise. What theater would you recommend checking out?

Happy 2020! Looking for your expert advice. When are the show times on the Silhouette?

When cruising the fjords (Flam)with at 5:30 pm departure time, what do you suggest for dining time?

My husband would like to photograph the sail out weather permitting. We will be there late June to early July so there will be long daylight hours.

Phoenix_dream how was the condition of the rest of the cabin and ship? It is sad when beautiful ships are not maintained.

I doubt it will be an issue.  Having said that, on our trip this September to Norway on Silhouette the ships curtains were so worn that when the light shown through them I could swear I saw the Milky Way Galaxy pattern!  It all depends how sensitive to light you are.  They are blackout curtains (minus the worn spots!) but light does come in at the sides and sometimes the bottom.  Not a lot, but some.  I always bring my blackout sleep mask just in case - it works wonders.

Sounds perfect...beautiful sights, blankets, and coffee. Guess this will be a trip of less sleep but great memories!

Wondering for cruise in last week of June into July on the Silouette, are the balcony cabin's drapes able to keep the light out?

I have seen photos of Norway at night during this time of year... it is more like twilight out.

We do travel with eye masks. There is an advantage to inside cabins!

We sailed on the Jewel last June out of Italy. She sparkles in the Med. Lovely ship, perfect size.

We were upgraded from a balcony to a suite....spoiled us forever. Would sail her again!

Hi All!

My husband and I booked our first ever cruise on the Spirit in 48 days!! We are super excited since this will be our first vacation alone together in 8 years! We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary.

 

I picked this cruise primarily on the itinerary of the Greek Isles and Italy, but to be honest, I'm starting to get nervous with the less than stellar reviews I'm reading about the ships condition.

 

We are staying in an Aft balcony cabin - its supposed to be a larger than normal cabin. I very recently found a video walk through of the cabin from 2013 and let's just say.. I'm REALLY hoping the ship has had some sort of refurb since then. When we booked this ship we were told it was going to be dry docked and refurbished this past Jan, but from the posts I've been ready that hasn't happend.

 

Has anyone sailed the Spirit recently that can give me some insight? I don't mind an older decor, I just need it to be CLEAN.

We sail for the first time on Spirit this September. We may be in the same cabin after you sail? 10686? If so let us know what you think when you get back! We are looking forward to this line up of wonderful countries to explore!

Would like to know from people who have actually disembarked at Civitavecchia and hired a private car to go straight to Rome airport (Fiumicino - Leonardo da Vinci) how much time is safely needed for drive/checking in luggage/customs? Our NCL ship says it docks at 6 am on a Thursday however we know getting off the ship may start much later than 6am. Flight to USA at 11:45 am....too tight???? We also will be taking our luggage off ship by ourselves and private car will meet us right at ship's side.
