It is only by coming to cruise critic that I have gotten educated that the cruises that I have enjoyed are really mass market, nickel and dime experiences, that have been poorly managed and organized, with lousy service and poor food.
I not only take CC comment with a grain of salt, but with an entire salt mine.
Hear, Hear!
I spend a lot of $$ for my cruise vacations. I'm not going to walk on the ship looking for problems, and if problems
arise like they so often do in life, I work around them. My good time is my responsibility.

I googled Eileen Dover, but nothing came up.
just kidding.

I love coffee and I am a daily coffee drinker. I thought the room service coffee was good.

Never too early to make sure your children know that rules and social etiquette does not apply to them.

Thank you for taking the time to respond Mike. I really am trying to avoid taking a cumbersome jacket, but I'm worried about being too cold as well.

Hello everybody we are sailing on a September Alaska cruise. One of the shore excursions is a helicopter ride/Glacier walk. I am looking for a coat recommendation for the Glacier walk. Thanks in advance:D.

I just looked in my personalizer for the Grand in Sept. I happened to have the unlimited internet access in my cart waiting for payment. When I clicked into the cart to pay it said "out of stock" ???

My experience from having caught Noro on the Crown, is to call the medical center and report it, as one is required to do. Yes, I was quarantined, but I didn't need to be as I was so sick there was no way I could have left my cabin anyway. And by reporting it, if you take out the Princess insurance plan, I was able to recoup the cost of the time I was quarantined due to trip interruption.
Good information. I didn't know that being quarantined sickness was an option for insurance reimbursement.

Yep. I know exactly what you mean. They get all giddy when I give them a refrigerator magnet with our hometown on it, or a rabbit foot key chain (I make them myself, four at a time!) or a framed photo of my wife and I. And my wife's home knitted ski masks are always a big hit. The wooden clogs that I make in my garage workshop are also a much appreciated gift.
They are so full of gratitude of these wonderful gifts that they are left speechless, with mouth agape in excitement. The response has been so overwhelming that I am seriously thinking of removing all tips and only giving them our homemade gifts next cruise. So many smiling faces, it beings tears of joy to my eyes.
:')lol! these "I gift candy and the crew really appreciate it" threads really kill me too.
