  1. We just did this yesterday!! AMAZINGGG!!!

So when you get off the ship, you will be BOMBARDED with the usual people asking you to take excursions, etc.

We were worried about getting there too late for a pass so honestly we didn’t “shop around” for transportation, we wanted to get there ASAP!

We found a taxi driver to take us, and while he was getting his vehicle, another guy (tried to) lie to us, saying our driver wanted us to take horse and carriage ride to sandals. Haha! Anyways.. it was $30. Took about 15 minutes to get there.

On the way back, we split a cab with another couple on the ship so it was $15/each.

If anyone has any questions just let me know!!!

PS—- hope everyone going loves RUM!!!!

Was it crowded at the resort?

  2. Hi All- we are cruising to the Bahamas from Miami in November on Royal Caribbean. We just received notice from Delta that our return flight has changed- leaving us with an almost 4 hour layover in Atlanta and landing at 10:00 pm, and we still have hour/half drive to our house after we land...... My question is, If we could take an earlier flight, what is the earliest we could schedule to depart from Miami after we dock that Friday? Thanks in advance.:)

  3. My husband and I have never purchased the "drink package". Is it worth it? It will just be us 2---no kiddos--- so we do plan to have some good ole "adult time" and have adult beverages every day..... What is included in the drink package? He drinks beer, i do not... i like wine, frozen drinks (MIami Vice), Malibu/pineapple- girly drinks like that...are those inlcluded? Thanks for your input!!

  4. If anyoe has recently gone to Sandals in the Bahamas, what was the cost per person? We are looking for all inclusive food & drinks (mainly drinks :p ) and i am assuming that is what you can purchase for the day pass.... please correct me if i am wrong.

Also, if we can't purchase the day pass in advance, is it likely that we wouldn't be able to get in after we take the taxi ride to the resory?

  5. We have decided this will be a beach day for us, and I have heard Paradise Beach is great and many people said the taxi is cheap. But I've always been warned don't do anything that isn't sponsored by the cruise. How do I know what is safe and what isn't? We didn't want to book an excursion this day, and just allow the kids to relax and swim in a fun beach.

We are going in October and I had the same concerns.... how far is Paradise Beach from the Carnival pier in Cozumel?
