  1. I have 36 cruises with Princess and pre - covid, they were my Goto. Not anymore. Since last October, we sailed B2B on Sky, 10 days on Enchanted and 7 on Caribbean Princess. They had gone downhill very bad. During the same time, we did a small RC to get to Diamond and them Odessey of the Sea WOW.  RC has brought up there game as Princess is slowly take there game and benefits down. RC away has something to do or eat - Princes not...

    I submitted my request for my December 2021 and March 2022 sailings on October 7. Nothing posted by October 15, so I called the phone number (800 872 6779 ext. 30317) listed on the information sheet that day. After about 15 minutes on hold, the phone agent went and searched for my submission and applied the credits for both voyages.

    Can I ask - did you fax your request or email?

    I applied for mine in JUNE this year for a cruise we are taking on the 30th of this month.  Despite 7 e-mail requests and 10 telephone calls in which I have waited 60 minutes each time without reply I am no nearer to receiving my shareholder benefit.

    I have tried to find the CEO's email address to no avail and have now decided to take copies of all my e-mails and other evidence on to the ship and will be joining the queue at the pursers desk to sort it out.

    I am also taking a quick Royal Caribbean cruise and received my shareholder credit in 2 days. Not sure if with Princess since I emailed my request instead of fax - that makes a difference? 

  4. Shareholder benefit: Are others having problems getting their credits added? I have been waiting over a month. I called once and was told they are way behind and it will take two weeks. She said that without knowing who I was or when I made the request. I do have time since my first of my B2B on Nov 20.

    We have a cruise to sail  January 16 , 22 from San Francisco  to Hawaii and back.  This is our first cruise on Princess.  Are  U.S. Birth  certificate has always all we needed in the past.  Now trying to fill  out the medallion app it's asking for a passport.  I'm worried if we apply for one now there's a chance it wouldn't be back in time.  So question is has anyone ever used just their birth certificate 

    Or a passport card?

  6. Just booked Enchanted for Jan 2021 and took advantage of the special. 

    A few questions:

     

    We are Elite and always trade the bar setup with coffee cards. With the premier beverage package, do we still need the coffee card?

     

    I’m told that since we signed up under a casino special, we get $125 for the casino. Is this per person? Do they put it as credits on your account? Can you use them for slots, video poker?

    It was automatic. On the room TV account screen, it was showing all of my OBC was refundable. I did go down to the service desk near the end of the cruise to verify. Luckily I did - they had it going to my granddaughter's account instead of my card. It was easily fixed and like I said , a few days later it was back on my card.

  9. Have been on board caribbean princess since aug 4, get off aug 25.

     

    Ocean medallion cabins are currently lido deck cabins.

     

    Checkin and off ship is a bit slower as they are using old and new system for 3 weeks to ensure accuracy. This is the 2nd week using both so one more sailing.

     

    We too really enjoy the food on board. Sure not every item is perfect but i have not gone hungry.

     

    World fresh markeplace offers lots of options. I especially enjoy the small dishes if salads, focaccia with different toppings each day. The sandwiches are very yummy. Salty dog grill does have amazing tacos.

     

    Dined at steamers last night and planks afew days ago. Great alternative for $12.

     

    The new highspeed wifi rolled out this sailing. So fast we were able to stream a movie on youtube. I was able to post a video to my page and video chat is easy. As elite we get an unlimited package for one device.

     

    Entertainment is great. Really love the new detourist program.

     

    Biggest issue we are having are all the large groups and families. We just are not use to it. Lots of running up and down hallways, sitting in stairways, plates left all over and drunkenness. And many are adults.

     

    Ship looks great i feel. Our cabins have been nice and the ine issue we had with second room being hot was resolved quickly.

  10. So is this only on the Caribbean?? When will this be a thing for other ships?

     

    Regal was the first ship to start with Medallion Wi-Fi and while I was on it twice within the last year - I had unlimited Wi-Fi.

    Now the Caribbean Princess is coming up on line with

    Medallion and offering the same.

    So I guess at this time it is only the two

    "Once on board we see that when we log onto Princess’ site itis a bit different. We have to re register with Ocean Medallion wifi and we arethen on a new page that says because of our loyalty level we are entitled tounlimited wifi for this voyage."

     

    OK I just got off the phone with Princess and after drilling/correcting the agent - he finally said that Elite and Plat will have unlimited Wi-Fi
