For Carnival, you can get past guest recognition on other lines within the Carnival family - HAL in particular. For Royal Caribbean, your loyalty level in Crown & Anchor will transfer to the comparable level on Celebrity and Azamara. MSC will match your level on any cruise line. EM
BTW, you will love your cruise director on the Magic this fall! Rev Dr E is fantastic! He'll sing good morning to you everyday! and as MC, can't get any better. Make sure you go to the 70's 80's trivia, it's a blast! he's hysterical.

Thanks for the info! I wish Carnival had some cruises next fall in Europe, but nooooo, only in the spring so I'm looking at other companies.

I am a past guest of Carnival and RCI, can I get past guest discounts on any other cruise line using those?
-
Thanks for the responses!!!

Which cruise lines are partners of Carnival? Does past guest of Carnival apply to their cruises?

We were on the Magic in June and had cabin 8202, the most forward cabin port side. As you can see in my pic, the bridge is your forward view, but looking straight out and back is nothing but beautiful views of water and landscape. My DH liked to wave at the officers and give them thumbs up when we finished docking, he's so silly. They would always wave back. I would have this cabin again because it was so quiet at the end of the hall. Camello, our steward was outstanding!! He was johnny on the spot with all my requests and I gave him high marks on my survey and of course a generous tip!

Oh Herod's tour was one of the highlights of our Liberty cruise! Herod was our driver and gave lot's of info about the island and island life. We had plenty of opportunities to stop and take pics. His assistant Clyde did a fabulous job of holding our camera's and taking pics while we were covered in mud and in the water fall. Lunch at his mom's was delicious and the view spectacular! Snorkeling was the best with squid, sea cucumbers, anemone's, and lot's of different fish! Careful with the delicious rum punch.... it sneaks up on you:eek:! Fantastic day, would highly recommend!!

Thank you guys for your advice. I'll spend my $50 on drinks instead:DO
Oh and I guess I "misspelled" FTTF, not FFTF. silly me.
-
We're flying in at 1:30, so will the lines at the port be horrendous or do I need to get FFTF ??

Thanks, that's what I was thinking.

Oh thank you!! That really just answered all my questions. Not going to take the airport transfers through the cruise line, this is much cheaper!
-
So will the taxi price include 4 people and our luggage? In other words, no price per person??

It took a couple days for us to get a response from Herod, but we did via email. I couldn't have been happier with the tour - it was excellent.
I have a question about the sulfur mud bath, did it ruin your bathing suit?

OK so big breakfast! Thanks!

Saint Greg, thank you so much for your info with hotwire! I acquired accommodations at the Hilton Riverside for Feb 17 for only $138 (before taxes) only knowing what you had about the French Quarter/Mississippi river, 90% reviews, 4 star rating. I figured I would get the Omni or Hilton. I'm so excited!! Thanks again for helping so much on Cruise Critic!
