Why are people so snarky on these boards? The gift cards are NOT available all the time. I was going to purchase some a couple weeks ago and they did not have them, only the ones for Royal were listed. The OP was just trying to be helpful.

I find 16 penny nails works fine :D
I was saving all my 16 penny nails for all the black light posters I plan to hang in the interior of my cabin.

I'm pretty sure the doors are metal and that magnets will attach to them, but just to verify, can anyone confirm this for Dream.
Thanks in advance!

Easiest way is to "laminate" your tag with box tape, then wrap around luggage handles.
-
How do the tags work? How do you secure them to the suitcase? Do you do anything like laminate them? I am new to this and don't understand how these tags work. It would be great if I knew what I was doing when I go to print mine in a few weeks. Our cruise will be paid on Oct 7 and I was planning to print things then.

We are cruising on the Dream on Oct. 23, and have booked a room at the Federal Inn & Suites. It's only 5 miles from the Port of New Orleans, and got good reviews from everything I read. We also only paid $88 for the night. Everything else we looked at was upwards of $250-$400 for this weekend.

Not sure if you can leave your car there, but you can always park in the Fulton St. Garage.

I applied for mine on 08-25-16 and received it on 09-06-16, so 13 days total. Not bad at all.

If you're interested in just doing a relaxing beach day in Cozumel, take a taxi from the port to Paradise Beach. You can google them, not sure if we're allowed to post website addresses. There's a small entrance fee and a fee to rent a chair, food was good, and the grounds were beautiful. Clean changing rooms, beautiful beach, and a very nice pool. No reservations were needed, all in all, it was a really nice and inexpensive day in port. Taxi's were waiting to take us back when we decided to leave. We did this the last time we were in Cozumel and plan on going there again in October.

Because I don't usually have pockets, and don't give the slightest care what anything thinks, I intend to wear my sigh & sail card on a lanyard while on the ship. Can anyone tell me if the hole puncher used on ship is a regular round hole, or a slotted one that is usually punched in ID cards for lanyards? I'll be on the Carnival Dream next if that helps.
Thanks and Happy Cruising.
From pretty much a newbie and don't really care,

Like many, I sleep with a fan on 365 days a year. I like the circulation of the air and the noise. I've read several posts about fans being confiscated from checked luggage. I am wondering if this is an issue on the Dream. Would it be better to put it in my checked luggage or in my carry on. Thanks in advance!

I'm in the process of booking cruise #3, and am curious who everyone goes through to get the best deals. The last two we have used a Carnival agent, but wondering if it would be better to use a 3rd party website. I'll be booking for me and 3 girlfriends.
One other question, I've only stayed in an interior cabin. I think we can get two interiors for the price of one suite. Those who have stayed in an ocean view suite, would we be comfortable in that, or would two interiors be better.
Thanks in advance!
