Thanks for posting this live review! Are masks mandatory in all public areas including open decks and pools? Do they provide the masks or are you required to bring your own supply?

We were there in January. We only paid for the TURTLE CENTRE EXPLORATION TOUR and not the more expensive TURTLE ADVENTURE TOUR. I though it was well worth the price of admission. In comparison, I thought (after the fact) that the taxi fare was the tourist trap. If you are wondering about what is in the Cayman Turtle Centre, take a look at my video to get a sense of what's there when we visited. Leave a comment on the video if you have any questions, as I only come on here once every couple of weeks.

I will be enjoying your trip review from the comfort of home now that we have been told to work from home.

Looking forward to read about your experience on the Getaway.

I agree about Muster Drill being less organized than other ships I've been on. We were on her in January.
Have a great trip!

It's amazing what $100 million can do to a ship 🙂 We are contemplating a cruise on it from Athens in April... should I?

When we were on the Getaway in January, it was called the Skyy Vodka Ice Bar. We did see people go in but would not be caught dead in it as we are from Canada. We went on a cruise to get away from the cold weather.

You can check out my recent YouTube video for menus in the MDR of the NCL Getaway. The menus are the same fleet wide. Like BirdTravels said, they pick from 14 menus, so my video has 7 of those menus.

The Manhattan Room will be quite a bit noisier than Savor and Taste, even when music isn't playing.

Thanks for the review as we are going on the Getaway in less than 2 weeks.

Great review so far. I have always wanted to be on the Allure.

When we were on the ship back in April, there was never a line for the slides. I guess it's a different crowd on the shorter party cruises. The Blow Dry Bar is definitely a flop when we were on the ship. However, The Bamboo Room was well used and IMO made the best cocktails on the ship. The Johnny Rockets to Go saw some action with people buying burgers back to their rooms to eat but was so much from people already at/by the pool. I was tempted to get a milk shake but never got around to it.

iSkate was fantastic! I think it was my favorite main show on the ship. I loved the drones at the beginning, although their purpose didn’t really tie into the skating, they were cool. Very, very entertaining and worth seeing!!
I have to agree with you on iSkate. It was a blast with both older and newer songs. It is a brand new show that debuted after the drydock. The skaters have practiced the new show for months on land before performing it on the Navigator.
Here is my video showing part of the show for those interested.

Yes, the Navigator has Freestyle drink machine next to the Cafe Promenade on Deck 5 and in the Windjammer on Deck 11.

Just because some cruises are covered by the KSF don't necessarily mean that they'll have more kids. In fact, cruises that are popular with families (during school breaks for instance), are not discounted by the KSF promotion.

I did a 9-night cruise in April and was surprised that they didn't have a parade.

I vote for The Lime and Coconut Rooftop during dinner time when it should be very quiet and has a good view down to the resort pool (which would be lit up at that time). Time it right and you may be able to catch a romantic sunset as well.

I appreciate the feedback.
You are very welcomed. I recently posted a video on YouTube on the Main Dining Room menus and food we received on our 9-night cruise. Here is the link in case you are curious of the menus and food they served on a recent cruise onboard the Navigator.

Navigator will not be able to compete in terms of scale/size but the recently amplified ship will offer things that are newer than on the Allure. Royal Caribbean spent $115 million in upgrading the ship, so the Navigator doesn't feel like an old ship anymore. Some of the things on the Navigator will be rolled out in the rest of the fleet in upcoming dry docks.

We were on the Navigator earlier in the month. The ship actually set up Towel station on the pier after you get off to sign out towels. This was the case on every port we visited.

Kids menu from around a year ago:

That's the same kid's menu as when we were on the Navigator earlier this month. It is the same every night. My daughter ordered off this menu 8 of the 9 nights.

Thank you for letting us know of this option in Bonaire!

We haven’t done it! But it does look fun and I’ve looked and can’t see an extra charge so I think it’s free.
Do you know if the laser tag is by reservation only or do you just show up and line up?

Not too much longer until your trip!! I've had alot of requests for all things children related, so I will definitely try hard to find out all the info. I was hoping to be able to pick up the Children's Cruise Compass if I can and post them on here.
If the RC website is to be believe, here are the restrictions:

400 lbs. max per raft (2 people)
RIPTIDE:

Double double points expires in about 8 hours - I couldn't resist

Was thinking about pulling the trigger last night on a cruise or two but ended up going to bed instead after looking at options 🙃
