  1. We are getting ready to cruise on Freedom 4/28, first time for RCL. Have cruised on other lines now for probably 12 years. The first time was Holland and I thought the food was extraordinary! Maybe easily impressed for a first-time cruiser, not sure. I have heard that the quality on Holland has also declined along with all other lines, except for maybe the very elite lines. I haven't seen too many reviews of Freedom's food. Can anyone weigh in? We are considering maybe purchasing the 2-nights package of specialty dining, but many have said even the food there was not all that great.

  2. I have a smaller duffle with handles that I pack about 32 bottles of Dasani water into. Always check it and have always gotten it delivered to my room. The porters will sometimes look at me and I just smile and tip. I think the duffle is the key. Once I had to go to the naughty room to claim it. I figure the water is cheap if they say no. As long as I get the bag back.

Thank you. Good advice. I had read someone just taped a pack of water with packing tape and put a luggage tag on it and gave it to the porter. They said it always got delivered to the room. But the duffle bag sounds like it might be better.

  3. We were on the Freedom of the Seas, March 11-17, 2018 sailing. We had an AWESOME first cruise, and I am filling out the post cruise online survey. Does anyone know the MDR Head Waiter’s name? We thought that he was fantastic, along with all of our wait staff. I’m able to list everyone’s names for recognition but his and would like to include him.

That is good to know, but how was the food? We leave on 4/28 on Freedom.

  4. Have a great time. . I don't cruise again until the Melissa Etheridge cruise out of Tampa . . end of October. We had a great Friends of Dorothy group this March on the Gem.

Thanks Anne. I know we will. I find cruising so relaxing just sitting and watching the water and horizon. I wanted to try Norwegian out of Tampa but they don't cruise in the summer and we were READY for a vacation. Maybe next cruise.

  5. It looks like it has be a while since any posting here but thought I'd take a chance. My husband and I are cruising on the MSC Divina 6/4-6/11 and curious if there are other LGBT cruisers. This will be our second time on the Divina, 4th time cruising as a gay couple. While most people are accepting, sometimes it can be a little uncomfortable when dining. I did not see a separate LGBT roll-call as someone previously mentioned.
