what kind of fan do you take? Like a little desk fan?
I take a small desk fan, maybe 6 inches. I got it at Walmart several years ago. I need to have air movement and the cabins can be kind of stuffy.

Can anyone help?
How are the room temp in the cabins?
I'll be in room 7411 in Dec and was just wondering.
If it's hot, is it allowed to bring a fan with you on board?
Thank in advance to anyone...:D
I always bring a fan.
We have been in cabins that never cooled off so I don't travel without it now. I always pack it in my carry on bag and have never had a problem getting it on, they have never asked about it.
I always unplug it when not in cabin.

I'm interested in finding out what is located in the empty space behind the 3/3 elevator banks in the front of the ship - Verandah deck (Conquest)? I see that the laundry room is near the mid-ship elevators on the Verandah deck, but just trying to see how noisy our rooms (8263 & 8265) will be located by the 6 elevator banks and the glass elevators.
Also what is the "line" on the deck plan across from room 8255 by the stairs. A solid wall?
Just curious.
We have been in 8264 and several other cabins near there and had no issues with noise. We always try to book near there. Easy access to everything except dining rooms.
I'm not sure what the line is, may have been a wall.
Would book these cabins again.

My hubby "heard" that the least favorite cabins are in the front of the ship because of the most motion (seasickness). I'm looking at getting cabins on the Panorama deck because of the proximity to the pool, buffet, slide, etc.
Since the only Panorama rooms are on the front of the ship, he's hesitant; besides the fact that it's on the 10th deck, he thinks those cabins are going to feel the most motion.
I'd rather not have to go to the bottom of the ship - Riveria or Main - because it's the place that feels the least motion; its also the farthest from the pool, buffet, etc.
Besides we have no idea if anyone in our family is seasick prone or if the weather will be bad....
Our potential cruise date is December 2 - 7 night Eastern Caribbean out of New Orleans. Hurricane Season will be over.
Your thoughts?
We have been in balcony cabins on deck 9 near the elevators and did not notice any more motion than usual. Maybe if you were all the way forward you would feel more motion there. Easy access to most everything being near the elevators. We would book there again

Can anyone tell me which aft balconies DO NOT open on the Empress Deck of the Conquest. We were on the Glory a few months ago with friends and had hoped to be able to open the dividers between balconies but were not able to. We don't want to make the same mistake on our Conquest trip.
Thanks.
Check your cabin number here.

I found that if the cabins connect inside then the balcony partitions don't usually open between those 2 cabins.
Good luck.

Any recent Conquest cruisers know if Music Manilla is playing in the Casino bar?
They were not there on the 9-11 cruise.

SHIP: Solstice
CABIN #: 9237
DECK (#): 9
CLASS: 1A
AREA: Mid ship Port side
BED NEAR: Bath
QUIET?: Yes
BALCONY VIEW: BALCONY SIZE: 1st angle balcony aft of hump, largest balcony. Great view aft but lifeboats below. There were no footstools on the balcony even though it is one of the largest balconies in this class. Our attendant did bring us 2 small tables that we used as footstools.
WIND A PROBLEM?: no
SOOT A PROBLEM?: no
PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:This cabin is in a great location. No noise from elevators. Never heard anyone on either side of us.
There is a popping noise like air in the pipes in the bathroom but not too loud.
The balcony railings are in need of staining and varnishing.
Would book this cabin again

I just realized that our passports expire March 16 and we set sale March 13. I wasn't going to tell the family til Christmas about the cruise. Does anyone know what the process is to get our passports renewed? Is it just a sticker or a long 2 month fiasco like getting one for the first time?
We got our renewal in about 2 weeks. You should have plenty of time if you do it after Christmas.

Which dining room is for anytime dining and which is for the early/late dining? We are confirmed for late, but on our sea days we might want to try anytime. Plus, I would like to attempt (keyword - attempt) to request a table for four for our party. I know this should be done ASAP when boarding. According to deck plans it looks like the Renoir has a lot more 4 seater tables then Monet. So, I am hoping Renoir is not the anytime.
We were in Renoir on the lower level in August. At that time it was assigned seating. Our table mates tried to go to the anytime dining more than once but were turned away. They were told since they had an assigned table they had to eat there.

yes and no.
PC Wok's is closed, but the mongolian is now located on the sun deck right by the sun bar on the starboard side of the ship!
PC Wok was still open on the Aug 30 cruise. Have they closed it since then? Mongolian grill was open too.

Do you remember the bus number you took? Did you get the bus where the ship docked or at the market?
We saw the rapids years ago while on a ship tour and would just like to go back on our own this time.
