  1. I would assume because is a higher floor? Really not sure. They are only on a few floors. My sister-in-law and my daughter were in a room just passed the line that separates midship to forward in an interior room and she said she could hear the Explorer's Lounge (i think?)so loudly! Every time they had some kind of dance night she could hear the whole thing. We heard it the most during a loud movies Under the Stars movie or if there was a band on Deck, like the last night I think it was. But we could even hear the pool water sloshing around on days that the sea was a little rougher. It wasn't enough to make us not enjoy our trip or anything, but if this is your one-time shot at a suite or something it would be a real shame to have something like that.

I agree. It doesn't make sense that some of the most expensive cabins are in noisy locations.

  2. I am having trouble accessing the Princess website. Looking at emerald princess R406. Can't find any information on this cabin. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

There are summaries of the reviews of R401 and R402 on https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...1#gid=83641472.

Please consider adding a review for whatever cabin you stay in. There is a sticky on top of page http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=197 to access the reviews.

  3. Regal and Royal Princess

Balcony Accessible Cabins: Caribe C434, C435

Sorry, did not specify which Accessible Cabins on Caribe deck that I was referencing. We reserve one of these 2 cabins specifically because we know that they meet our needs. 4 cruises completed in these cabins and again B2B in December '16. ♡

I'm just getting the hang of posting here. Sorry for the omissions.

It would be informative to comment on quietness, balcony size, view, wind, soot, and any problems you may have had with the cabin.

If you have any questions please e-mail me at PrincessCabinComp@gmail.com.

  4. Royal Princess, sister ship of Regal Princess

    CARIBE Deck, Balcony ACCESSIBLE Cabin

I never see any info on Accessible cabins, so for those who are interested here's some information.

The Balcony Accessible Cabins are generous in size. If you have a power wheelchair there is a spot where you can park it without moving pieces of furniture or tables and plug it in. You can even go out on your balcony in your power wheelchair because when the balcony door opens it automatically makes a little ramp to go over the threshold. There's plenty of room between the bed and the dresser for your wheelchair with room left to open drawers as well.

The bathrooms are large enough to negotiate in a wheelchair, and even while your partner is also at the sink.. there is no threshold to get in the shower. There is a pull down shower seat and a handheld. The curtain opens very wide (90°) and even turns around the corner where there is a bar to hold onto while getting in and out of your shower seat. Access to your towel is very easy from there if you hang it before you draw the curtain. There is an ADA height toilet with bars. The sink is accessible from a wheelchair with no cabinet underneath and the storage is ok (but not as ample as the handicapped accessible balcony cabin on Royal Caribbean Freedom class) On our next Cruise coming up in December I'm taking a clear "over the door" hanging shoe organizer. You cannot close the bathroom door if you hang it over the door, but you can hang it over part of the "90-degree" shower curtain rod. My husband is going to use the top half for his toiletries and I will use the bottom half. The hair dryer is located in a drawer near the seated vanity under the mirror in the cabin. I take a small makeup mirror that sits on the counter and I do my makeup and hair while seated there.

I would suggest that if you do have a Power Wheelchair or Scooter, and you also have other medical appliances such as a CPAP and a BiPAP or a Nebulizer, to bring your own power strip and extension cord(s). There's usually a rubber mat that is by the patio slider and I use that to cover the cords where they run across the floor at the foot of the bed. Be sure to unplug anything not in use, and especially when you leave the room.

I forgot to add that the "accessible" Cabin next to ours (Caribe Deck midships) is much more narrow. LOOK at the Deck Plan and you will see this. I would suggest that you only Reserve this accessible balcony cabin if you only need the accessible bathroom. I don't see how anybody could get their wheelchair between the end of the bed and the dressers to get to the balcony side of the cabin.

I will post some pictures after our next Cruise on the Regal Princess in December.

Thank you for the review but please post the cabin number.

You can filter the spreadsheet to display only accessible cabins.

  5. I am looking to get information on specific cabins on the Regal Princess but this document does not have the Regal listed. Am I missing something?

Actually there are reviews of specific cabins on the Regal Princess in this spreadsheet. If you look at the tab "Managing Data" you can see how to filter the contents of the spreadsheet and drill down to Regal Princess cabins.

If you need some help e-mail me at princesscabincomp@gmail.com.

  6. Hard to decide which cabin to choose so if you are familiar with them, input would be great. We cannot afford a balcony and do not like Emerald Deck above the clubs stc. due to noise

    DECK 12 ALOHA A511, inside

    A339 inside

    A721 inside

    DECK 14 RIVIERA R241 inside

R747 THE MOST STERN OV PORTHOLES NEAR AFT POOL

    DECK 15 LIDO L241

    L245

Any help re: convenient location, quiet, somewhat stable in wind.

    THANKS

This thread is for cabin reviews only.

I suggest you look at the spreadsheet at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iJDFCtotsFNUvSNFzZ3LXomW95WX7R0svO7JhGRBvpo/edit?pli=1#gid=530283129 and use the filter and sort tools to see if there are reviews for the cabins you are interested in.

For directions on how to use the filter and sort tools please review the "Managing Data" tab.

  7. Since the Ocean Princess is no longer in service with Princess I have removed the entries for the two reviews from the spreadsheet located at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iJDFCtotsFNUvSNFzZ3LXomW95WX7R0svO7JhGRBvpo/edit?pli=1#gid=530283129.

The actual reviews remain on the Cruise Critic thread.

Thank you to the authors of the two reviews. Please continue to post reviews of other ships when you sail.

  8. I am new to this site and am looking for somewhere to find specific information on our cabins that we have booked for our July Cruise on Coral Princess in Alaska. HELP!

You can access the spreadsheet at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iJDFCtotsFNUvSNFzZ3LXomW95WX7R0svO7JhGRBvpo/edit?pli=1#gid=530283129 and sort and filter to see if the cabins you are interested in have been reviewed. Each review is summarized in the spreadsheet and you can click on the link in the spreadsheet to read the actual review and look at any pictures in the review.
