  1. One poster hoped Jelena would be on their October 2017 cruise. She over heard me saying we booked a similar cruise on the Reflection in Nov 2017. She is moving to the Reflection over the summer. Sorry! We enjoyed the Equinox and the cruise so much we booked Reflection Thanksgiving week 2017, St. Lucia and Antigua replace St. Thomas and St. Kitts. Barbados and overnight in St. Maarten again.

  2. ChucktownSteve,

Great review so far! Like hearing somebody else's perspective, as I was on the ship three weeks ago. How have you liked the food in the main dining room? I thought it was very good to excellent. I consider myself a foodie. I read some posts that rate the food as "I wouldn't feed the main dining room food to my dog" to "excellent". The former is an over the top exaggeration! Had planned on earring in Murano and Tuscan Grill, but after three dinners in the MDR, my GF and I were so pleased with the food and our table mates we decided to spend the money elsewhere! Sorry your without your DW. One poster suggested the Zacapa Old Fashioned, I do as well. Very nice cocktail!

  3. ChucktownSteve,

We were on the Equinox three weeks ago as well. Very nice ship, had an excellent cruise. World Class Bar before dinner and Martimi bar after dinner. Definitely try World Class Bar, not a full bar, limited menu, but very good drinks, some with interesting preparation/presentations. They can make other drinks if they have the ingredients. If you like gin have Jellena (Yellena) make you an Aviation, gin, creme de violet, luxardo liquor and lemon juice, excellent. Tell her Jay from Thanksgiving cruise recommended it. The Martini Bar was excellent, wait till Catalin pours multiple martinis, he's the best bartender on the ship! Tell him Mr. Tony Stark said hello, he will remember me. We loved the ship so much we booked another cruise while on board! Happy Cruising!

  5. You can do it ahead of time if you want. Either call or I've heard you can do it online. I like to get as much done before hand as possible, that's me. Your sea pass will indicate Premium. If you have a lot of OBC you may want to wait till you get on board. There will be ship personnel ready to upgrade and sell you extras you as soon as you get there! Or you can do it at any bar. They will put a premium sticker on your sea pass.

  6. Classic package covers beers up to $6, liquor up to $8 and wine up to $9. Premium package covers anything up to $13. If something that costs over $13, with the premium package you pay the difference plus gratuity. If you order something over the limit on classic package you pay the full cost.
