    Thanks! Around 730 pm?

Three nights of Beatles, first night in theater, Second night Cavern club and one more later in the week.  I will post when.  Btw… Cavern club is small if you cant get in go to the outdoor bar for the cavern club, they put the show on the TVs and you still hear the music.  All of them really get into the characters so far both have been great shows.

The plunge pool looks like a handicapped toilet. I'm assuming its enough space for 1.

Yes.  its just one person.  at 40 degrees you only last a minute so no worries about a line forming….  Its for the hot/cold shock which is quite invigorating..

Could you take a picture of the Plunge Pool?  How cold is it?  Is the idea to have a place to cool off after the sauna?

I did it after the steam and the sauna.  Just went for it and jumped in.  The cold transition takes tour breath away.  Was with my friend but had to pretend it wasn’t that cold… Couldn’t speak for first five seconds but pulled it off as no big deal…. He jumped in thinking it was not going to be that cold… 🥶 Oh did he get a surprise.  Wow !!  Highly recommend doing it(unless you have a heart condition of course).  I also like all the other pools on the other ships, Escape, Bliss, Prima, Encore all are good.  This one is still worth it for me, but to each their own…

I like the overall aesthetic, but as others have mentioned, without the pool, it'll likely be a 'try it once with a day pass and never again' for me.

I do have concerns about the stairs to the hot tub. Maybe it's the angle, but they look super-steep and seem to only have a handrail on one side? And the step tile looks like just plain tile, nothing to make it non-slip.

As documented on my recent 'live from the Bliss' last week, my mom fell and fractured her ankle (plus two broken toes and ligament damage in her knee) right in front of the thermal spa hot tub, so I'm paying more attention to these details.

Stairs are very narrow but they have to be since the spa is added after the fact.  Same narrow stairs for plunge pool.

Thanks Rush for sending Dailies.  Trying to make dinner plans and don't want to book during Beatles times - not sure when they are playing!  Many thanks for guidance.

Beatles are really good … They did the first show in the theater so many could attend…

Also report back on the green immersion loungers, please.  I am very curious about their relaxation factor.  By the way, you rock for getting the scoop first, for all of us, on the renovation!!!!

Ok. Honest opinion.  ( I have to be careful because I do love Norwegian) Those things are a big let down.  Basically fine for a 20 minute nap.  Vibrations are small and not adjustable and they really aren't that comfortable.  There is only one button on the thing(on/off) so I am pretty sure I was using it right….

So  the Joy is scheduled to start sailing again next week, after being refurbished in dry dock.  I'm hoping someone on one of the initial sailings can describe how the new Thermal Suite on the Joy compares to other thermal suites.   In particular, I would like to know if there is a heated pool and hot tubs.  Thank you.

Just booked the Thermal Spa.  Opens at 5.   Ask any questions.   8 person whirlpool , cold plunge pool, Salt, Ice, Rain, Steam, Sauna, Rain Rooms and Pebble area.  Also loungers all over and some cool green immersion loungers that I want to see how they work. IMG_1041.thumb.jpeg.fabbb2a940aeb40d7df7bdfd91c4612f.jpegIMG_1042.thumb.jpeg.c647cc1b15b5a81e54c1f34bc04f05cd.jpegIMG_1043.thumb.jpeg.3452b6fdbfa114c97aa2b09547eb0827.jpegIMG_1044.thumb.jpeg.34c613dd63e9b527e0ae5fe364e2c74a.jpegIMG_1048.thumb.jpeg.e1463046733366a564a048f67b02b568.jpegIMG_1049.thumb.jpeg.426c220bf0eae0c090e859e6d1b29ce7.jpegIMG_1050.thumb.jpeg.6c4be189fa8df457983305a1e6912202.jpegIMG_1055.thumb.jpeg.def0456a563675700518ad907f3c79ca.jpegIMG_1051.thumb.jpeg.196e71e7ddd455c51839e67ffe97b048.jpegIMG_1056.thumb.jpeg.5bb9dece5680ce04be4a4371aba3372f.jpegIMG_1046.thumb.jpeg.b452be651ddbaeb961ad13706593b117.jpegIMG_1047.thumb.jpeg.5417960c793a56fd831650e846c4af9b.jpeg

We are also anxious to trade in our Vibe passes on our upcoming June cruise for Cabanas.

If it's not done, we will bum rush the place and get pics anyway....  I will get VIBE pics and see what the cabana situation is.  I am planning on doing a semi-live to get the changes.  Don't know if I can sneak into the new Haven owners' suites but will give it a shot as well...  Currently still says thermal open 2/24 but cannot buy online passes for 2/24 until boarded.  Will know soon enough....

Hoping someone onboard will give some form of report regarding the speedtest results they see.  I also wonder how much of a difference between the base and streaming options on the new Joy Starlink system.

I will be on the ship the 24th and test the crap out of it..   I have both streaming and non streaming accounts so I will post both for comparison.

Thanks for reply.  NCL advertises that Haven services include priority when reserving restaurants and entertainment.  Is service provided as advertised?  If we decide to go to a specialty restaurant in the afternoon, can they

provide a reservation for that evening at desired time?  Thanks again!

Quite simply nothing is booked for Haven guests.  We changed our minds many times and they just seem to find a spot.  Same day, same night no problem.  The coincerge makes it all happen.  They are not included in normal tips so we take care of him separate.  They literally spoil you.  Also note you can order anything and the butler will bring it to your room or balcony from the specialty restaraunts .  Finally each night the Haven restaraunt has a special from a various restaraunt on its menu.  Check with them each night to find out but might also be an option.

We are traveling on the Bliss in February in the Caribbean.  Is it hard to get a lounge chair on sea days on the Haven Sundeck?

    Thanks for help!

Actually no, we were fully booked Haven and never had an issue period.  Way more chairs than people using them.  The cabanas were full one day but if you really want one go early or have your butler put an out of order sign on it for you.  🙂.  There is one smoking area of the sun deck that was full.  I hate smoke so I just stayed away from there.  Other than that it is pretty sparse.  Enjoy!

    Thanks for the great review!

one question for you. Is there a bar in the Haven Horizon observation lounge or is there bar servers?  Just got off the Celebrity Edge and their suite lounge just had servers and sometimes getting a drink wasn’t quick.

There is not a bar in the Haven Observation lounge, but there is one in the public lounge.   It’s about 47 paces for Haven guests to the bar( only an estimate, I did not count) but the staff will just bring you what you want so really the bar follows you in The Haven.  I reposted a photo of the non Haven Observation area.  Bar is just to the right.

No bar in the Haven Observation. just coffee and snacks.  Honestly there were servers around all the time.  We tipped as we went so that probably did not hurt..  couple bucks each time and you will have no problem.  The bar staff is not included in gratuities so we just tipped as we used them.  There were never enough people to use up 1/2 the seats so I could have just went to the Haven bar if I wanted.  Hope that helps..

We're on the same excursion in March.  How was it?

We had a wonderful captain named Jolene and made it enjoyable.  It’s only about 45 minutes snorkel(kind of short) but some people were gassed in 15 min so they have to keep it short for the cruise peeps.  Had 55 people on boat and I was worried about sardine effect but honestly it was not bad.  It’s also right at pier so it’s very convienient.
