  1. Sailing to Alaska on Ovation for the second time, September 6th. Formal attire is worn by a very small % of your shipmates. Even at the Chef's Table attire is informal.
  2. Thanks. Sailed last year on Allure, missed this year's President Cruise. Planning for next year.
  3. Agree with the Hilton. Easy walk to restaurants/shops. Nice place.
  4. Yep. Insurance issue. Will check your age every time. As I well know being over 70.
  5. Traffic in Houston is a nightmare. I would make any flight after your cruise at least in the afternoon.
  6. Agree. And glad someone besides me knows Boy George. Only seems odd to me based on President's Cruise if mostly booked by Upper Tier Crown and Anchor members. Last year we sailed on Allure President's Cruise. Had Chaka Khan as the headliner. I thought she was great but many disagreed. I'm still wishing for Whitesnake.
  7. Might have something to do with booking Boy George and Culture Club to headline President's Cruise 2024? Sure seems like an odd choice to me.
  8. Oasis is scheduled for the President's Cruise in June, 2024. What you're seeing is the ship being prepared for the cruise. We sailed on Allure 2023 President's Cruise, same thing. Ready the ship to host Royal President and executive staff. Plus about two thousand Crown and Anchor members.
  9. Agree. We drive to Galveston from Missouri but flights to Florida often are $ 1000.00 or more for the two of us. Add bags, hotel stay, meals, and taxi your close to doubling the cost of cruise fare. Really think they will move to a point system based on dollars spent. Already happens in the Casino.
  10. Stayed twice in Central Park Balcony rooms.Loved it both times.
  11. We used our 3 night package for Hibachi on Allure in July. There is an up charge but well worth the price.
  12. Not considering leaving but have cut back on the number of cruises for this year. Also starting to take a look at Cancun resorts. All inclusive offers value and better dining.
  13. Just got off the Voyager today. Took $ 500.00 for me, wife had $ 250.00. Mine is down to $ 87.00. She somehow still has her entire amount. How does that work???
  14. Never had a problem. They sometimes will ask if you would like to share a table, with others. We decline.
  15. Also joining you Feb. 10th. Have not heard from RCCL, so thinking all is fine. Guess we will see. We drive down from Missouri, leave on Thursday. GO CHIEFS...
  16. In 1966 it was Gas/Tires/Oil. Still miss that car. Had to sell it when I was drafted.
  17. We always buy the 3 night package, when offered. Have the Voyager booked for 5 nights in February. Will eat dinner 4 nights in specialty restaurants. Italian twice. Skipping one night since it is the Super Bowl. Pretty sure we will end up eating Pizza after several (many) drinks.
  18. We stayed at the Hilton on 17th street. You can see the ships from the hotel. Cab ride from the airport to the hotel is about 15 minutes, and costs $ 20.00 with a tip. The hotel has a shuttle to ships. Think the cost is $ 7.00 for each passenger.
