  1. Hi Noelle,

We went on our first cruise ever in Aug to the Baltics on the Star. We had this promo as well. A voucher was in our stateroom when we boarded. On the last day, we picked out a mix of 8x10s and 5x7s and showed the voucher. They crosschecked against a printed list, asked us to sign the receipt and then packaged up the prints for us. The receipt showed a void of over $1000 (their inflated list price). Was a pleasant treat to have some non selfie memories, for something we usually wouldn't pay extra for :)

    Enjoy your trip

  2. Hi Keith, hope you are having a wonderful trip. We are on the Star in a few weeks. Could you comment on the following?

    - How crowded is the pool deck? Wondering if it's warm or cool at sea on the Baltics this time of year

    - How smooth was it to get off the ship in sbp? We're on tour not with the ship, wondering if immigration was long, or if ncl held back non ship tour groups?

    - Could you keep and eye out for which day the laundry bag special is and how much it was?

Very much appreciate the help and hope you have a great trip

  3. Thanks for the great info on this thread. We are arriving on the NCL Star at S176 on Saturday, Sept 3rd. Could you help with the following questions?

    - The map shows there is a Stockholm visitor center right at S176. Is this the recommended place to get the 24hr travel card or are there any other locations at S176? Also, will the visitor center be open at 8am on a Saturday?

    - From the latest transit map, can you confirm that bus 53, 71, 93 are all good options between S176 and Slussen to catch the local ferry to Vasa?

    - Because we arrive in Sept, Vasa doesn't open until 10am, while our ship arrives at 8am. We were thinking of just taking the scenic route up the hill towards Slussen before catching the ferry to Vasa. Do you have any other suggestions for early morning activities while waiting for the Vasa to open?

    Thanks very much

  4. I was out at Oceankaj yesterday to see the Disney cruise ship and there seemed to be a steady flow of taxi's to all 3 ships but the traffic was a little bit slow around the traffic lights.

The 2 other questions I have a hard time figurens out.

You don't provide a date for your visit but on kongehuset.dk there is a calendar so you can see if the Queen is at home because if she is the changing of the guard will be a little bit bigger than normal.

The food stalls, are they at Torvehallerne or Copenhagen Street Food?

Is B a restaurant or a place, perhaps Formel B.

    Hi Danish Viking,

My apologies for the typo in my question. Regarding the food stalls, I meant to ask about the ones at Torvehallerne. I was wondering if its feasible to do Amalienborg-->Torvehallerne-->Forum-->Oceankej all in about 2-3 hours? If the food stalls are open before noon, then we can eat beforehand.

Our cruise is on NCL Star on Aug 26. Thanks for the link to calendar, I'll keep watching there to see if the Queen will be home.

Thanks again for all your help. Much appreciated :)

  5. Hi Danish Viking,

Thank you for all the helpful information. We are arriving on a Friday afternoon and sailing Saturday 5pm. Could you help with the following questions?

    - We would like to see the changing of the guards. Is there anyway to know which ceremony it will be ahead of time, or only by checking the flag the day of?

    - The ceremony starts at noon, but we would also like to catch lunch at b. Do you know if food stalls open before noon on Saturday? If we have to do it after the ceremony, do you think there is enough time to eat there and catch a taxi from our hotel (Cabinn near Forum) to the cruise terminal (need to be at dock by 2:30?)?

    - Finally, after the cruise, I've seen some review early this season about long taxi lineups. I know you posted an article about improvements where the port calls the taxi companies of ship arrivals. Any feedback if taxi lines are still long?

Thanks again for all your help. Looking forward to visiting your wonderful city.

  6. Hi Anni,

Thanks very much for your very informative website. Our cruise ship is arriving in Rostock LP31 on a Sunday and no ship shuttle information is available. Could you help with the following questions?

    - If taking the bus from Seehafen, would we only have option to pay single fare (local day pass only available at stations?)

    - If single fare: is it exact cash, change given by driver, or credit card?

    - If we get the Lander ticket for Schwerin, it includes the S-bahn between Rostock and Warnemunde (Whereas the local Rostock ticket includes S-bahn AND tram)?

    - Finally, any difficulties with taxis being available at Seehafen on a Sunday early morning?

Thanks again for all the information. We're very much looking forward to visiting your part of the world :)
