Check in times are just suggestions. We always get there early.

I’ve seen it on the Ruby and Coral as well. Not sure about the Regal.

If everyone in your cabin is stricken with Norovirus and there is only one bathroom then I'm sure it will be a very long couple of days. If you go to the medical facility and ask for a shot to help relieve your symptoms, how much do they charge you? Is it affordable?
Luckily, I have never had this happen but I do have a food allergy that causes the exact same symptoms. The specialist said if it happens again I have to seek medical attention so I'm just wondering how expensive are we talking for a shot and possibly IV rehydration? I sent an email to princess telling them about my severe food allergy but I have not received a response yet.
Two years ago on the Grand I was suffering from extreme nausea and stomach pain. I went to the medical facility during off hours (around 10 pm). They gave me IV fluids, anti-nausea and anti-acid meds (both through IV and pills I took with me), and ran a bunch of blood work. I was there for about 3 hours. Total cost was around $1000 and was charged directly to my state room. What my health insurance didn’t reimburse for, the travel insurance did in a fairly easy process. I was absolutely impressed with the medical facility and the care I received.
Good luck and have a great cruise!

Honestly, as children myself and my friends constantly where doing way more dangerous activities. However no-one else was around, there where no spy cameras and no youtube to become famous from. I can say we never where unruly around others, what these kids did was pretty low key and super lame. At the end of the day, I don't see why people would want to bring their kids along in the first place, It must be extremely boring for them.
We've cruised with our daughter for the past 3 years (she's 10 now) including 2 10-nights to Alaska and a 15-night Panama Canal. She always has an amazing time and none of us ever want the cruise to be over :). We also don't do the kids club and just spend the time together as a family. It might not work for some families but it certainly works for ours. In our opinion, it's a family vacation. Why would I not want to be with my family?
Don't get me wrong, my husband and I do take little trips on our own but definitely not for 10 or 15 nights.

Got back from a Panama Canal cruise on the Coral last month (FLL to LA) and it was amazing!! Ports were great, canal was great, ship was great. It was a wonderful vacation.

That sounds very reasonable for an insurance payment. I've put in a claim with the Princess insurance company and I think I waited about 2 to 3 weeks to receive a check.

Glad to hear it was handled so quickly. Have a great rest of your cruise!

I bought a package for the cruise I took last month for $99 and for the Alaska cruise I took last summer the package was $199. I've heard it depends on the ship and whether or not they're offering any deals. The option should be in your cruise personalizer.

I've ordered doubles with the AIBP and not had a problem. For instance, on my last cruise, our drink of choice was a double grey goose over ice and a small bottle of pelligrino. We never had a problem.

We sailed on the Coral on April 17 and received an upgrade email on April 14. We were upgraded from a balcony to a mini suite.

if you're referring to Daniel Oliver, the piano player, i recently saw him on the Coral Princess ( voyage Apr 17 _ May 2nd)
I was on that cruise as well. Saw him in Crooners.

Personally I'd see that as a downgrade, but to each their own.
I think to me just the extra room makes it an upgrade. More space for the three of us.

I would take it in a heartbeat. Enjoy your cruise.
Thanks!

With 3 people, definitely go for the mini suite. Plus on the Coral you will be near the aft door to the "secret" deck which is a wonderful place to enjoy the scenery.
That's my thought too!

Thanks so much. I don't mind walking, in fact the more walking the better to counteract all the eating and drinking! I think we're probably on the younger side for this cruise (46, 42 and 10) so mobility isn't an issue so much. The only downsides I see are being further back so more movement if the seas are rough, and that it also looks like there's a service corridor across from us.
I pre-paid the gratuities to avoid the last increase so I wonder if they'll just add the extra $1/pp/pd to my on-board account.
With 3 people for 15 nights the extra space would be great though.
We'll weigh the pros and cons. Thanks for your input!

We got an upgrade notice! Yay! On the Coral from B330 to D617. Is there any reason we shouldn't accept?

We're booked on a Panama Canal full transit in the Coral next Monday and got the same email about two weeks ago. I double checked my cruise personalizer and everything was ok. We booked airfare through EZAir and that was still ok too. I figured it was just a computer glitch.

Personally I would have jumped at the chance to get all that extra space for $25/pp/day. I'd love to sail in a mini!

Has anybody been less than satisfied with the quality of the product in this area. Last cruise I felt a bit let down with the steward's "straight snake". I even left my sunglasses out near a coat hanger but was unsuccessful in attracting a gorilla. Finally I confronted him on the issue and on the last day he had done a "manta ray" which I congratulated him on. Turned out my daughter had thrown a towel on the bed.
Regards John
I once was on a cruise where the towel animals came alive during the night. I definitely tipped extra!

Not sure if transportation is different at MIA but we are doing a red eye on the 16th and Princess said our transfer to the ship wouldn't be there until noon. We've since made other plans. Definitely don't want to be at the airport for 6 hours!

I don't think the link has been provided. This is the site of the company that provides rental tuxes on cruises.
https://www.cruiselineformal.com/
I have not rented from them, but I believe this is the group that serves Princess. I have explored their site many times and every time I have booked a cruise, however I was not impressed with their selection of tux styles on any of my past cruises.
I used Cruiselineformals for myself and my son. Nice selection and I loved not having to pack the suit. This was the company I was planning on using.
Thank you!

magnetic hooks

These are the ones I ordered:

I liked the clips rather than the hooks. We use them to put up maps to track our progress (we travel with a child), hold hats, etc. It's also a great place invitations and reminders.
