  1. If everyone in your cabin is stricken with Norovirus and there is only one bathroom then I'm sure it will be a very long couple of days. If you go to the medical facility and ask for a shot to help relieve your symptoms, how much do they charge you? Is it affordable?

Luckily, I have never had this happen but I do have a food allergy that causes the exact same symptoms. The specialist said if it happens again I have to seek medical attention so I'm just wondering how expensive are we talking for a shot and possibly IV rehydration? I sent an email to princess telling them about my severe food allergy but I have not received a response yet.

Two years ago on the Grand I was suffering from extreme nausea and stomach pain. I went to the medical facility during off hours (around 10 pm). They gave me IV fluids, anti-nausea and anti-acid meds (both through IV and pills I took with me), and ran a bunch of blood work. I was there for about 3 hours. Total cost was around $1000 and was charged directly to my state room. What my health insurance didn’t reimburse for, the travel insurance did in a fairly easy process. I was absolutely impressed with the medical facility and the care I received.

Good luck and have a great cruise!

  2. Honestly, as children myself and my friends constantly where doing way more dangerous activities. However no-one else was around, there where no spy cameras and no youtube to become famous from. I can say we never where unruly around others, what these kids did was pretty low key and super lame. At the end of the day, I don't see why people would want to bring their kids along in the first place, It must be extremely boring for them.

We've cruised with our daughter for the past 3 years (she's 10 now) including 2 10-nights to Alaska and a 15-night Panama Canal. She always has an amazing time and none of us ever want the cruise to be over :). We also don't do the kids club and just spend the time together as a family. It might not work for some families but it certainly works for ours. In our opinion, it's a family vacation. Why would I not want to be with my family?

Don't get me wrong, my husband and I do take little trips on our own but definitely not for 10 or 15 nights.

  3. I bought a package for the cruise I took last month for $99 and for the Alaska cruise I took last summer the package was $199. I've heard it depends on the ship and whether or not they're offering any deals. The option should be in your cruise personalizer.

  4. I've ordered doubles with the AIBP and not had a problem. For instance, on my last cruise, our drink of choice was a double grey goose over ice and a small bottle of pelligrino. We never had a problem.

  5. Thanks so much. I don't mind walking, in fact the more walking the better to counteract all the eating and drinking! I think we're probably on the younger side for this cruise (46, 42 and 10) so mobility isn't an issue so much. The only downsides I see are being further back so more movement if the seas are rough, and that it also looks like there's a service corridor across from us.

I pre-paid the gratuities to avoid the last increase so I wonder if they'll just add the extra $1/pp/pd to my on-board account.

With 3 people for 15 nights the extra space would be great though.

We'll weigh the pros and cons. Thanks for your input!

  6. Has anybody been less than satisfied with the quality of the product in this area. Last cruise I felt a bit let down with the steward's "straight snake". I even left my sunglasses out near a coat hanger but was unsuccessful in attracting a gorilla. Finally I confronted him on the issue and on the last day he had done a "manta ray" which I congratulated him on. Turned out my daughter had thrown a towel on the bed.

    Regards John

I once was on a cruise where the towel animals came alive during the night. I definitely tipped extra!

  7. I don't think the link has been provided. This is the site of the company that provides rental tuxes on cruises.

    https://www.cruiselineformal.com/

I have not rented from them, but I believe this is the group that serves Princess. I have explored their site many times and every time I have booked a cruise, however I was not impressed with their selection of tux styles on any of my past cruises.

I used Cruiselineformals for myself and my son. Nice selection and I loved not having to pack the suit.

This was the company I was planning on using.

    Thank you!
